iphone 4 sound quality
I think the iPhone 4 has better sound than the 3GS. Of course I can't do a side by side comparison though, but I feel like my D5000 have a more full sound when listening to Boys Noize.- artforme

Sennheiser HD800: Spray Painted Plastic and the New Acid-Washed Jeans.
I feel that people are taking this thread the wrong way. From my understanding the OP is not attacking the sound, or build quality, of the HD800s. It's purely an aesthetic argument, one that I agree with. If I had the money I would invest in a pair of HD800s, but I would still think they...- artforme

Filming in very noisy environments?
It would be hard to beat the HD280s for that type of environment. I don't know of any that compare really. Looking into other "DJ" headphones would be another place to look, but I'm happy with my HD280s.- artforme

Headphones with the best bass and clarity?
From what I read, I think the HD800s win in this department. I've yet to listen to the HD800s, but look forward to the day when I can give them a try.- artforme

Sennheiser HD800: Spray Painted Plastic and the New Acid-Washed Jeans.
One more thing, while were on the subject of design. I feel that Ultrasone ruins all of their headphones aesthetically by placing that large ugly logo on each side of the phone. Besides the logo itself being ugly, having a large silver sticker of any branding is just ugly in its self. I feel...- artforme

Sennheiser HD800: Spray Painted Plastic and the New Acid-Washed Jeans.
Your thoughts on interesting design are exactly correct. That's one of the reasons why I find the Denon D5000 and D7000 so attractive aesthetically, as there seems to be little material pretending to be another. I don't mind plastic when it's being plastic, like a white macbook, or a black...- artforme

Sennheiser HD555 Owners Look Here
If you live in the backwoods of the south, it might have been the humidity... Although it's not very humid right now, but if you bought it from a local store whom had bad storing practices, I could see something like that happening. The 555s seem pretty solid to me.- artforme

Denon AHD 5000 + Audio GD Fun for mainly classical (a lot of piano) keep or sell?
The D5000 is still really good for classical music, especially if you like to have some 'impact' to your classical music. While proper Amping is necessary eventually, don't worry about it right away. Too many people get caught up in getting the perfect set-up from day one. I think it's...- artforme

Denon ah d5000
I say get the D5000's before getting the amp. That way you have a better understanding what the amp actually is doing once you get it. I personally don't use portable amps. And when at home I use what is listed on my sig. The D5000s are fun, and awesomely comfortable, enjoy!- artforme
