TURNTABLE SETUP Questions thread - don't start a new thread, ASK YOUR QUESTION HERE!
Thanks for the responses. Two for RP1 and one for the Project. If there are better TTs out there within the 600 dollar range or if there is a big performance boost spending a 100 or so more, please drop me a line. Don't forget I need a preamp as well. Thanks!- backtofront001

TURNTABLE SETUP Questions thread - don't start a new thread, ASK YOUR QUESTION HERE!
I absolutely hate to start a "what should I buy post" but I honestly read the last about 15-20 pages of this thread and still cannot make up my mind. I want to invest in a turntable rig...budget is around $500-$600. I need turntable and preamp. Want to buy new because I don't have as much time...- backtofront001

JH Audio JH16 Pro First Impressions
Does anyone know how many CIEMS musicians go through performing on stage? They get pretty sweaty and stuff...if they are not having problems, I doubt a little gym activity will destroy these things.- backtofront001

post your grado mods....
Well, I know its not my amp because everything else was working fine out of it. So, like someone mentioned, it has to be the cable. I emailed Grado and its going to be $100. I guess I am going to have to bite the bullet on this one.- backtofront001

post your grado mods....
Hey guys, just wanted to stop in here and make a quick post/plea for help before I put this in the Headphones forum - So, the other day I picked up my RS1s only to realize that the right channel is completely gone. I have no idea why or how but it is not working. Does anyone have any...- backtofront001

Custom or Universal at ~$200~$400?
Hi there, If I were you, I would invest in a pair of customs. Now I dont really know much about the 1964 Ears but here is my experience. I had universals and loved them, owned the Shure E3 and then E4s. Didn't think it could get any better than that so I was pretty sceptical when I ordered...- backtofront001

First Post- Looking for advice
Quote: Another vote for the 1+ with Grados. Truly a pretty impressive combination taking into account the price range. 1+ is a hybrid tube amp so it is perfect for low impedance cans- backtofront001

Shure E3C vs 1964 Ears
Huge difference in comfort as well for my ears at least, size of ear plays a role here. Regarding audiologist, well you gotta do what you gotta do. Also, make sure you tell the audiologist to use a bite block.- backtofront001

Shure E3C vs 1964 Ears
You should definitely give this a shot. Though I have not tried the 1964 Ears and cannot vouch for them, I have tried the E3 and E4 (I still currently own these). In addition, I have a pair of custom molded Triple Fi's, which are 3 driver balanced armatures just like the 1964 Triple. Basically...- backtofront001

Newbie Amp Decision
When I first got into this hobby, like you I also wanted a Tube amp. So after much research I went with the Little Dot MKIII. The reason I chose that amp was that I had high impedance Beyerdynamic DT990's and they greatly benefit from a OTL Tube amp. Now, with that being said, I would not...- backtofront001

Monster Turbine Challenge - Reviewers Wanted!
Im Interested in Reviewing these. Currently I use custom molded Triple Fi 10's most often on the go. I also have a pair of Shure E4's. They are fed through my Zune HD. I listen to Rock, Hip Hop, Blues along with a variety of other music. I do not own or have owned Monster IEM's...- backtofront001

Greatest Guitarist: Virtuosity & Creativity
I cannot believe no one has mentioned Tom Morello yet! He is certainly not a virtuoso but he holds a good amount of cards in the creativity department. Also Kirk Hammet, no one?? Alex Lifeson?? The rest of my list consists mostly of guitarists previously mentioned, Hendrix, Satriani...- backtofront001

Three Letters of the Alphabet your Music Collection Could Not Do Without
I am really going to take a lot of liberty here: Let me cheat a little (a lot) and exploit the loophole first, T: The Black Keys, The Roots, The Killers, The Mars Volta, The Crystal Method, The Mermen, Talib Kweli, Tool ok...now I can play the game how it was meant to be, ...- backtofront001

Post pic(s) of your latest "significant" purchase(s)!!! v2.0
Quote: Nice, I had a Little Dot MKIII for a while and I regret selling it. In the picture it seems like the Little Dot is on - seeing as it is an OTL amp, you don't want to leave the amp on too long without any headphones connected to it. Just a little friendly tip to prolong the life of...- backtofront001

Bands like Tool
I am basically here to second everything people are saying here. First, there is nothing like TOOL. Second, definitely get ISIS. dt990 250ohm with Little Dot MK III, good enough?
Im glad you chose to go the separate DAC route. Its just much better because it makes upgrading individual components in the chain a lot easier. With that said, for $150 I would get a Nuforce uDac2. I had a uDac 1 back in the day and I remember it sounded pretty good. The 2 is supposed to be...- backtofront001
