Hey guys, am at a bit of a dilemma here. I'm not sure which amp, the MK IV or the Valhalla, would pair better with my T1, as such I'm hoping that people with experience with them can come and share their views. Mainly looking for a wider soundstage without compromising on bass.

Between the 2 amps you listed, and from what I read spec-wise, the Valhalla sounds like the one I would go with if I were you. The T1 needs a fair amount of grunt to bring them to life. My Audio-GD C-2C amp puts out 700mW at 600 ohms which is adequate but and at times I wish it were a bit more powerful. I can go full 100% volume on some of my hi-rez recordings but it may be a gain issue.

I never listened to the T1, I hope I'll get a pair soon and I'll drive them with my WA3.
Are you sure the C2C outputs 700mv at 600ohm? According to the T1 specifications, max power handling capacity is 300mv :-O

No it doesn't(and yes I use to own it). The C2C didn't do much for my 600ohm beyers. It's power rating at 600ohms is only 200mw which is why he could easily go all the way up on the volume knob.

You might want to look at the output specs at 600 ohms for the C 2.1 on the Audio-GD website. The original C2C was even a bit more powerful than the current 2.1.

I am currently driving my T1s with the Valhalla and it seems to do well. For $350 I think the Valhalla is an excellent choice, but I have not heard any LD amps. The only other setup I've heard them on is musicman59's WA5-LE and that was amazing.  As soon as I have isolated the hum on my β22, I'll do some comparisons.
