Show us your Head-Fi station at it's current state. No old pictures please...
Haha, yes. Nine Inch Nails specifically is my favorite band by a long shot. It's on my bookshelf now! I rearranged my room. I'll be moving soon, so was trying to cut the clutter. I know, I'm down to 325e or Senn 650. I really need to get my Marantz professionally restored...- tribestros

Some new stuff... Pictured is my amp, Marantz 2252B, my Sennheiser collection of 280Pro, Momentum & 558, and my direct drive Pioneer turntable. The hooks for my headphones are from Ikea.- tribestros

Well, I'm also a speaker junkie, so mine has a large footprint. I posted it two pages back I think, I have a NuForce uDAC running into my vintage Marantz 2252B. Fantastic speaker amp but honestly it's a beast of a headphone amp. I was gonna buy a Schiit to complement my old Pioneer...- tribestros

Calling All "Vintage" Integrated/Receiver Owners
Welcome to the marantz club. Some would disagree, but there isn't a better vintage IMO than a 70s marantz.- tribestros

The hate on beats, why?
...their products even if it's not good on our standards. I can't forgive Beats for what they did from 2008-2013, so if they want to ever have me *not* hate them, they need probably another 5 years. But the way they went on the market was pure predatory marketing genius. Capitalism gone...- tribestros

Lets Talk Metal
Saw them in 2010 at a small club and I'll be seeing them on the 28th in Dallas. If you like shoegaze concerts, go. It's not really much of a metal show IMO, it's much more of a dreamy shoegaze kinda show. But it's fantastic. Although my barometer for metal shows is Dillinger...then everyone else.- tribestros

Thanks! I really stumbled onto it, I was going to buy a new stereo amplifier (I also love speakers) but didn't want to short change my headphones, so I was expecting to spend around $1000. Then this thing fell into my lap, I hadn't even thought about vintage before. It is pretty fantastic...- tribestros

Post A Photograph Of Your Turntable
Got this thing from my girlfriend and was beat to hell. Wouldn't stop spinning, needle was broken, all the buttons were broke...took it to a record repair guy in Denton, and he had it for five months. Couldn't find anything on it, parts were a debacle. Apparently this is a table that...- tribestros

Just got my station back together with my new turntable! Little cluttered, but cozy, just like I like it. Really proud of my vintage/modern mix, such a great sounding system and headphone system. The 2252b is a beast of a headphone amp. Overall room in my apartment. Been working on it for...- tribestros

Calling All "Vintage" Integrated/Receiver Owners
Go with the 2240b. The late 70s Marantz are durable and sound incredible. I have a 2252b and it's the best amplifier I've ever heard/used and I work in a Magnolia Home Theater. The earlier 70s Marantzes are good but usually aren't as nice sounding, also usually need some more work. Speaking of...- tribestros

Upgrade from Sennheiser Momentum
The Momentums are pretty much the best closed back headphones out there without going reference, that's why Sennheiser markets them as their "Orpheus" line, each one of their premiere headphones gets that classification. The only possible thing I could say are those new closed Audeze that are...- tribestros

Sennheiser MOMENTUM Review
I was having trouble choosing my headphones (finally setting a portable rig up) between the K550 and the Momentum at my Magnolia. Grabbed the Momentum. Can't beat our discount. Haven't listened to them yet! Looking forward to it, wish my FiiO would hurry up and get here.- tribestros
