Been out of the game for a while, cans similar to XB500s?
Hey folks. Haven't been keeping up with headphones much these days. XB500s used to be my favorite headphones for fun, escessively bassy listening. Unfortunately, I lost mine a while ago. I'd get a set again if they weren't so expensive due to their rarity. Has anything similar in terms of...- RobustOrange

Somic MH489 -- Sony XB700 ripoffs?
Somic has some quite nice products from what I've seen on here. I imagine that these would likely be worth the money considering their other offerings. The headband also looks well padded as apposed to the the melted fruit roll-up that sony tried to cushion the 500s with.- RobustOrange

Moved to Full Sized Headphone Recommendations Thread
You could just use a 3.5mm to USB adapter. That's what I use to play games on my ps3, and I imagine the ps4 will have similar capabilities.- RobustOrange

sennheiser hd202 - what are their, er, big brother?
I'm guessing you enjoy the bass that they offer? I always found them a bit muddy. The HD439 are very comfortable and will offer a bit more clarity compared to the 202, and they have a good bit of bass as well.- RobustOrange

Help me choose between Fanny Wangs 3000 Series V Beats by Dre Solo (HD)
Those are both quite bad headphones for their price. You would be far happier with a pair of Beyerdynamic DT770 pro/80. If you want them for portable use, get the V-moda crossfade LP2. They have the bass you desire and they are easily carried around.- RobustOrange

Special headphones for that special music
Quote: I'd say they have quite nice bass extension. They hit mid bass a bit better than sub, though sub is still very nice and satisfying. The detailis nothing too amazing, though with electronic it does fare well. In this track which has subsequent gunshots, they sound detailed and...- RobustOrange

Special headphones for that special music
Ah, so you too enjoy witch house/dark ambient. I feel you would be happy with a pair of Ultrasone HFI-580. They are excellent for almost any form of electronic, and perform well on many other genres. (plus they are shiny)- RobustOrange

NEW! Pioneer SE-MJ591 "Audiophile" headphones unboxing & impressions to come.
Wow, those Circumaurals look a lot like these http://www.amazon.com/Superlux-Black-Dynamic-Closed-Back-Headphones/dp/B00628B1AW . Anyway, I can't wear Supra aurals for a long time because I have oddly shaped ears, so I get lots of pressure on my ears. Although, the MJ591 look very nice and...- RobustOrange

NEW! Pioneer SE-MJ591 "Audiophile" headphones unboxing & impressions to come.
In my opinion, Pioneer should stop with all the on ears. I'd buy a pair of these, or even a pair of the bass head ones if they were over ear. On ear is something I can't stand.- RobustOrange

Need Some Exciting Headphones!!
The M100s have a July 4th release date (Stated by Val, their CEO). So it's not far off. They are going to be more accurate and neutral than the LP/LP2. They're in the same lineup as the M-80, so they most likely will have a very similar sound. Though, they are going to retail for $300.- RobustOrange

Need Some Exciting Headphones!!
Quote: Yes, I own them. They are not terrible. Their strong points are the build and looks. They are quite recessed in the midrange and the highs lack sparkle. If I were you, I'd fork over an extra $60 for the V-80. They're much better, and often compared to the Senn HD-25.- RobustOrange

A Concise View of Why The ATH-M50 is No Longer King
I certainly do not feel the M50 are a bad headphone. Though, I feel as if their introduction to the forums has brought along a lack of variety. The M50 is so commonly recommended to the point where it is obnoxious. There's no doubt better headphones than the M50's in the same price range, though...- RobustOrange

It's unrealistic to find a headphone with lots of bass without recessed mids. But, the Ultrasone HFI-580 seem to be what you want.- RobustOrange

California Headphone Company A New Tim Hickman Brand
Hmm. Hopefully they are better than their predecessors, the Wangs. They certainly look very nice, and seem nicely priced for their seemingly high quality build. Though, I'd have to hear them myself, the Wangs weren't exactly Hifi. But, they may pull a V-moda and really turn it around with these.- RobustOrange
