Looking for good soundstaging. But not sure about the ma300 because of no body ever bought it really.

It's narrow, not very tall either. It's like that for really any closed 'phone.

I have been interested myself. I can't tell you anything about them. But hey, at 50 bucks, worth a shot just to try them out. But if you want to be safe, the XB series is great, and I own the XB500's. They are phenomenal when it comes to bass. They are great for everyday usage. Hope this helps.

XB's are likely the better choice when it comes to soundstage.

Find out if these people have actually heard these recommendations for any length of time, or if they own the stuff at all. Not much to go on unless they expand on what they are saying.
Are the XB's not CLOSED back? vs the MA's open...
 
Your local place should have both to test out.

well I have not tried the ma but the xb500 sound stage is not good at all.
