Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless - The Official Thread
Interesting. This was almost me. I put the mids on 1. I had initially settled on 0 but after cycling through multiple genres of music, I decided 1 on mids was better for me. It seems my ears like warm mids.- atomikn00b

Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless - The Official Thread
Has anybody figured out exactly which frequencies the eq adjusts? I'm curious for personal reasons so see if, in the future, a more neutral headphone from Sennheiser is something I'd consider.- atomikn00b

Denon D2000/D5000, MD2000/MD5000 Thread!
Amazing! I'm glad it found a good home. I actually wish I had it now to compare with these Sennheiser Momentum 3's I'm enjoying so I can see if I've strayed from my original preferred sound. Subbass is always king though :-D- atomikn00b

Denon D2000/D5000, MD2000/MD5000 Thread!
I'm glad to see people are still listening to these headphones. These are what truly got me started on the quest for the perfect headphones because I loved the subbass so much. I got rid of them long ago when times got hard but I'm finally in a position to explore audio gear once again. I'm...- atomikn00b

I'm still catching up on this thread but did you ever compare it with the AKG K371? I think there's a bigger difference between the K371 and K361 than just the frequency response. I ask because I thought you were initially going to compare with K371. Thanks!- atomikn00b

Review of the JVC HA-FXH30 by B9Scrambler
The price is definitely what's keeping me from trying that EPH-100 too. I really like the presentation of the FXT90 but couldn't handle to treble and wanted more low end bass. I love sub-bass. But until then, I just picked up the fxt90 again pending the time I can afford the fxh30 or...- atomikn00b

Review of the JVC HA-FXH30 by B9Scrambler
Where'd you get them at that price range? Everything I find is above $60. One of the reasons I don't mind buying it used if I can find them at around $30.- atomikn00b

Xiaomi Hybrid IEM Thread (Piston successor)
At the end of the day, I'm not impressed by these. Definitely prefer the piston 3.0 to the hybrids. I've given it enough time, I think, and I'm not seeing any more changes. True the highs opened up just a bit more, but I was looking for a change in the mids. I'll sell my pair to anyone in the...- atomikn00b

Xiaomi Pistons 3.0 Impressions Thread
By the way. To me, other than tiny technicalities that you won't notice unless you're reeeeally listening for them, there doesn't seem to be a sonic difference between the regular Piston 3's and the cheaper Youth Editions. That is all.- atomikn00b

Xiaomi Hybrid IEM Thread (Piston successor)
Short and to the point. Coming form the piston 3's and piston 3 YE, these are definitely dark OOTB. They sound technically better, but the balance of sound isn't to my liking. Leaving them to just play music through for the next few days. If they don't open up more/get brighter/reveal more...- atomikn00b

Xiaomi Pistons 3.0 Impressions Thread
After half an hour of comparison between the two Piston 3 Youth Editions that I got, it's clear the sounds are different. They're so cheap though ($9) I'm going to order another one to see. Only downside is it might take a month to get to me, but it'll be good to see if it's a QA issue. I'm...- atomikn00b

Xiaomi Pistons 3.0 Impressions Thread
Sooooo. either I got a dud, or what they've been saying about the YE's and the piston 3's being the same driver is completely wrong. It's like the sound focus flipped positions with piston 3's drawing your focus to bass and YE's revealing more mids and treble. Edit: YEP. It's a dud. I...- atomikn00b

Xiaomi Pistons 3.0 Impressions Thread
First post in what feels like 2 years. After about a month of waiting, finally got these in. I had the Piston 2 for about 3 months but lost it. Been surviving with earpods since then so can't reeeeally remember the sound signature of the 2's. But first 5 minutes of listening it sounds like...- atomikn00b

GR07 vs Beats Solo HD
what you will find is that bass is different from bass. I was actually listening to my BE's and stopped by a friend's house (who has the solo HD). So I said, hmm. Let's listen to these beats shall we? I couldn't keep them on for more than 30 seconds. So I had to judge them with...- atomikn00b

Quote: I had all at the same time. Bass on XBA-3 does not compare to even the GR07 MKII, not to mention the BE. MH1C definitely has the most bass/subbass but it is slow and the quantity is unnecessary. And thanks for the write up Master Troll (AKA sfwalcer). A mighty fine job. Looking...- atomikn00b
