FiiO X5 2nd gen Impressions and Discussion thread
Hi Rob - if it's for portable use the PM-3's are going to be easier to drive for sure, and are closed so will offer much better isolation both in-and-outbound. The X5ii alone will drive them nicely, and you'll get that planar sound. Myself I found the 650 a poor match for the X5ii alone -...- DDDamian

Hi mikoss - saw that email from them and was tempted but think they'll have an even better deal coming for Black Friday in the US. Have ordered the birdseye maple I'll be using for the base of the kit though ;) Bet the GMB is sounding pretty sweet with the ZD!- DDDamian

At least stay consistent: "The fact that he would even listen to a Sennhesier below 650, all the other Sennheisers are horrible compared to the 650, if you use less, you may as well not even be listening to music."- DDDamian

GUSTARD H10 High-current Discrete Class A output Stage Headphone Amplifier
I'm keeping mine to keep the HD-800 & HE-400 in check as far as highs. I find both have some highs that can hit my ears hard. I prefer the HD-800 with the BH S.E.X. Can't wait to hear it on the BH Mainline. In the meantime the H-10 must stay :) P.S. If you want Audeze bass to really...- DDDamian

GUSTARD H10 High-current Discrete Class A output Stage Headphone Amplifier
^^^ it does tell you in a couple places in that datasheet: 1) the schematic shows a VS+/- power rail to supply it, and an In+/- which is the differential signal it's amplifying. Only one of each so it's a single 2) both block diagrams show a single horizontal triangle representing the amp...- DDDamian

Amp recommendations for Audeze LCD-2
The WA6 is an SET with output transformers that (according to the specs I can find) can drive about 500mW but I couldn't find at what impedance that was. If it's at 32ohms it's going to be challenged to really drive them, even with the fazors. At least it's the right topology for what you're...- DDDamian

X3II next firmware bug / improvements wish list
I'll throw in a couple of requests: - ReplayGain processing: the shuffle and playlists have been available since the first-gen products but can lead to some scrambles to adjust volumes when genres or recording levels change as they will. Would be glad to point out open-sourced code samples...
