V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.
The v-moda is no match for jvc. I have both. But you will need an amp for the jvc to really shine. If you want bass then it is the jvc with amp.- Gusse

Maybe artpiggo can answer that question for you... But if you are looking for the best hifi phone I would recommend you to look at the xplay6 from vivo. I am not good enough to describe the difference between the xplay6 and lg v30 but to my ears the xplay6 sounds better than the lg v30. I...- Gusse

Well maybe I should check out the at-pha55bt Believe it or not. I haven't tried the xplay6 with Bluetooth yet, so I have no idea about how it sounds using the Bluetooth. Yeah I will wait for your mail. Because using neutron music player in dsd mode kills the battery for real. But it sounds...- Gusse

To those of you who has the vivo xplay6, do not update to the new software version( 71112). The new version changes the sound and it does not sound as good as the xplay6 used to. Or maybe it is just me?- Gusse

Hey boss. Great info for xplay6 owners. I am trying this tip right now and it sounds really really good. My Sony ex800st are loving it. Do you also have the Dsd sign instead of hifi when using this tip? I am asking because I don't have any Dsd song and just playing with flac files.- Gusse

Aha I read on some vivo forums that downgrade was only available via service center. But now I have the link to do it myself. But I will wait and see if vivo fixes the issues By the way I tried the link provided, under download everything is in Chinese, so I will wait until you have done it...- Gusse

You were right about the volume steps. It helps using the slider. But yes the sound has become much brighter. Let's hope that vivo will do something about it soon. Do you know how to downgrade? I thought that was only possible by visiting a vivo service center?- Gusse

Have you noticed any other issues? I have been using the beta version 7.1 update and I am hoping that the hifi is back to normal again. Because right now the one plus 5 sounds better and plays louder the xplay6. Before I updated the xplay6 was miles ahead of the one plus 5.- Gusse

Hey artpiggo. Have you updated your xplay6? And how do you feel about the sound? Is there any difference? I'm asking because I have been reading on vivo forums that the sound has changed with the 7,1 update.- Gusse

Best Smartphone for audiophile Part II (Updated: Jan 2020)
I already have 2 balanced cables from penonaudio.com to play with the aune m1s and my Lz a4. The stock cable on my M100 has replaced, and the new one is without mic. I actually don't use the mic so it doesn't really matter to me. So I guess this is what I need: Single end male to single end...- Gusse

Thanks for your answer. I guess I need two adapters. I just started playing with the aune m1s, if I want to use the balanced output of the dap with my M100, am I correct thinking that I Need 2,5 mm trrs to 3,5mm trs? 3.5 mm trs to 3.5 mm trs for the xplay6. 2,5mm trrs to 3,5mm trs for the...- Gusse

I just wish vivo will allow me to use the hifi mode for any app I want to By the way boss. The adapter used to activate the high gain on smartphones, do they have to be trrs? Or will it be fine with trs? I am asking because I am writing with Trevor from norneaudio.- Gusse
