[FiiO M11 Plus LTD/M11 Plus] THXAAA-78,Android 10, 2.5/3.5/4.4 Powerful Output/4.4 LO output, Dual AK4497/ES9068AS DAC chips, 4GB RAM,64G Flash
I did try a number of different versions of the Tidal app, including the old version on the Fiio app store. and all had the same problem. Besides UAPP does exactly the same thing, so it isn't app specific.- Mr.Toad

I’m having a problem with Tidal MQA files on the M11 Plus. For the first 5-10 minutes of playing an MQA track I get stuttering audio. This happens with both streaming and downloaded files. After the 5-10 minutes, the stuttering clears up. UAPP has the same problem, so it’s not the Tidal app...- Mr.Toad

Yes, I immediately noticed a distinct difference between ANC off and on as soon as I received the PI7s. As you say, elevated bass and a bit of a tunnel effect, although I think the tunnel effect is just a part of the elevated upper bass. I found that different tips (spinfit or xelastec) improve...- Mr.Toad

I bought them from the B&W online store which has a 30 day return policy (here in Canada, at least). So I submitted a return request and bought a new pair. They emailed me a Fedex shipping label, so the return was free. I haven't actually got my money back yet, but I presume it will sometime...- Mr.Toad

Here is an update on the replacement PI7s that arrived yesterday. The first pair I had were plagued with problems: wireless charging didn't work; I had frequent bluetooth dropouts; the final straw was that the right phone developed a loud sizzling when ANC was on. The new pair: wireless...- Mr.Toad

I must have big ear holes, since use the large size on any tip I get - come to think of it, I found the cp360L to be a little smaller than the usual L size. You might want to try AZLA SednaEarfit XELASTEC - they work for me and their sizes tend to be on the large side. They are sticky, so they...- Mr.Toad

I didn't like the PX either, but I like the PI7s very much. There is just a hint of the boxiness that put me off the PX but I don't find it objectional on the PI7s. I do lift the treble on the PI7s to suit my taste. I have antique ears, so that might be part of why.- Mr.Toad

Well, yes, if the tips don't fit well, not only is noise reduction going to suffer, so is the sound. With tips that fit, I find the overall noise reduction better than the xm3. As you say, the highs still come through somewhat, and I presume the PI7s aren't as good as the Bose (I don't have...- Mr.Toad

My replacement PI7s arrived today. Wireless charging now works, no sizzling in the right earpiece when ANC is on, sound is the same (which is good), no bluetooth dropouts so far (early days yet, though), ANC is the same - which is OK, since it seemed fine on my original pair. The only oddity is...- Mr.Toad

Clearly, there is a metaphysical bond that forms over time between the PI7 and the source. Either that or it's alive and is messing with our heads.- Mr.Toad

"These are far from perfect but the sq is top 3 and maybe even the best in a tws headphone". Agreed, the PI7's sound is the best of the tws phones I have tried. I ditched the stock tips for xelastec - the sound is the much the same as spinfits but they stick in my ears better. That being said...- Mr.Toad

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
To my ears the MX4 has the best ANC and, after some EQ, pretty acceptable sound. B&O H95 has better sound (best of MX4, M3 and Aonic 50 imo), worse ANC. Momentum 3 has exciting sound that becomes wearing after a while - best soundstage, though and average ANC. Shure Aonic 50 middling ANC, clean...- Mr.Toad

Some new unsolicited excitement from my PI7s: now when ANC is on, the right earpiece emits a constant loud sizzling noise. A hard reset made no difference. This pair is going back anyway for another reason and another pair is on its way. None of this inspires confidence.- Mr.Toad

I just did a quick bathroom fan comparison between the PI7s and wf-1000xm3. The PI7s were better at blocking out the steady drone. While I was at it, I tried the wh-1000xm4 which beat them both. I don't have the Bose QC, so I couldn't try it.- Mr.Toad
