Grado Fan Club!
Unless the 325e I have is an outlier as far as bass is concerned (I'd have to listen to another pair to confirm that though) The 325e has more bass than the 225i / 225e and the 325is.... and it isn't even close. I'd have to EQ the other cans about 4-5db in the 50-125 range to get the same...- vai-777

Grado e Series
Just a quick comparison here... SR325e vs RS2e. The RS2e is basically a refined SR325e, as far as I can hear. The bass is a little tighter, and the treble a little smoother. They also, for some reason, play about 2 to 2.5dB lower than the SR325e when the volume is left untouched on my source...- vai-777

Interesting... I mean these came out in early 2014 right? I just got two brand new sealed Grados 325e and RS2e and both have RED colored drivers.- vai-777

Are you saying they went back to black drivers? Or are you saying you think they might in the future? I just got the 325e and today got the RS2e and both have RED drivers.- vai-777

well, I don't think I would want the 325e any brighter, I think they hit the sweet spot here... I was considering looking into the RS series but I suspect diminishing returns at that level. I mean, I'm not sure what I would want a headphone to do better than what the SR325e already does.- vai-777

wow 20 Grados? that is carzy!!!! I probably will try a few of the lower end models, cause I really don't want anything to happen to the 325e that I have. I do recall hearing the 125 isn't that great though. Is the 225e basically the same as the 325e without the aluminum?- vai-777

Thanks!. They really are something special... one caveat, they can be a little uncomfortable, but I suspect I will get used to it... even if I don't, they sound too damn good to care.- vai-777

I listened to the GS-1000 back when it first came out 2005?... somewhere around there. Anyway, I didn't like it at all, and stuck with my hd600. Recently I have been looking for HD600 alternatives (I have the HD800) but was looking for something a little less expensive and a little more...- vai-777

[GUIDE] Sonic Differences Between DT770-DT990 Models & More
IDK what the OP was talking about concerning the DT770 pro.... I just purchased (and returned) a pair. I have the DT880 PRO and the DT880 Premium and both of those cans are great. The DT770 pro is absolutely bass heavy, and I got the 250ohm version. I can't imagine the 80ohm version. I mean how...- vai-777

Audioquest Dragonfly 1.2 question and observations
Just got this today and paired it with my AKG Q701 running out of a fairly decent Toshiba laptop. It is definitely an improvement over plugging straight into the headphone jack, no question about it. Better bass extension, little more midrange.... still retains the highs nicely, can't really ask...- vai-777
