Latest acquisition for me is one with a shamelessly bad bottle: Davidoff Champion. Supposedly it opens with citrus accords, then goes into clary sage -- both of which I enjoy tremendously -- with a strong dose of Iso E Super. It's probably not very deep or interesting to a serious...- righteousball

nano 6g impression
Quote: That's just the SIZE of the battery. While some might adjust the output for lower power draw, battery size in itself doesn't necessarily mean it's got 1/4 the output AT ALL. If you're an engineer, you can just as easily connect a 550mAh battery onto the nano's internals, or an...- righteousball

nano 6g impression
I finally heard both the 4G shuffle, the 6G nano and the 4G touch for myself. In general I found them to be as good as their supporters suggest, this year's models are all a little more infectious. Driving my IE8, I thought I might've detected the slightest harshness on both the nano and...- righteousball

My latest acquisiton is the Lalique Encre Noire. Because I actually had to buy it unsniffed, I went out and sampled a few other vetiver scents, like the Chanel Sycamore... the window shopping made me realize I like my colognes, so I'm now giving up several gadget purchases, so I can acquire a...- righteousball

Seeking maximum isolation for cheap - suggestions?
Hey all, I'm looking for a way to obtain the maximum degree of isolation offered by an IEM as cheaply as possible. This is not for me but for my mom: we share a very intense need to just block out the misbehaving vehicles, crying babies and tasteless street live music that populate our...- righteousball

Sony has discontinued the SRF-59?
I feel your pain... I had the SRF-49 almost a decade ago and it was wonderful. Radio is something that Sony has absolute supremacy over... no room for doubt like the walkman (mp3) line has sometimes I wanted to get an SRF-59 but when I looked I couldn't find anyone on ebay to ship overseas...- righteousball

HTC HD2 or Nexus One as a mp3 player.
Both of your phones and both of these phones were tested by gsmarena.com. Putting the loaded/unloaded test issue aside, I think both the HD2 and Nexus One turned out to be slightly noisier than the iPhone and similar, if not better than the 5800. So for most intents and purposes you should be...- righteousball

Bump the thread (cause this is a nice hobby), and I have a dilemma. You may or may not have seen this before. In the years that I've taken up enjoying fragrances as a half-serious interest, I've done a lot of reading to "gauge" what's considered as quality stuff and what isn't. That's how I...- righteousball

best DAP only phone
As close to a DAP as possible, that criteria alone will require the phone to be a fairly capable smartphone, i.e. I think you need all the features you "don't really care about" in order to provide you with a good semblance of operating a DAP. That's my opinion. Sony Ericsson would've been a...- righteousball

Nexus One
I'm waiting for the phone... I could go through a proxy or buy from someone who's selling in auction, but I'm inclined to wait for a local release, because what I heard is apparently if you're in a country where it's not officially sold, HTC will not handle repair/warranty, it's got to go back...- righteousball

E72 vs E71 (vs Nexus)
Hope I'm not hijacking the thread by asking this... Nexus One owners, please share your impression of the keyboard? How does it compare to the iphone's? Does the (apparent) lack of multitouch impede your typing speed vis-a-vis the iphone? I can type very fast on the iphone's landscape...- righteousball

Regrets?
I regret mostly not giving my purchases enough thought in the early years. Sometimes I would re-buy things after selling them, which is a fantastic way to waste your trust fund, if you've got one. I also needed to look at the bigger picture. Say, I probably should've bought the TF10 and it...- righteousball

Oh and can I just say... eating Shin Ramyun for a whole month is NOT the same as eating Top Ramen for a whole month. The savings is just not the same. Mp3 Player for IE8´s
In theory: a lot of people like to do a Cowon/IE8 combination because their signatures complement each other. However: I have auditioned the Sony X with my IE8, and it sounds fantastic to the n-th degree, like many have already mentioned here on Head-Fi. Highly recommended if you've got the...- righteousball
