Hi, mine came with 3 sets of pads, one brown pleather, one set of white pleather & a set of brown velour pads. The brown velour pads are great, very comfortable. Cheers Mark- maporter

SONY's new 2012 Walkman Range!!
It's a product without a real market, whilst it'll play FLAC it's pointless, because it's been crippled with only 16gb. What were the Sony Design & marketing team thinking about when they came up with this, now if it had been given 32gb of storage for the same price I think differently of it...- maporter

SONY's new 2012 Walkman Range!!
Actually having experienced a A860 series player, I doubt the volume will be an issue. Sony's lost the plot with the both the product design & pricing; why on earth would purchase this when you can purchase an android powered Sony mobile phone for far less. It's a product without a real...- maporter

SONY's new 2012 Walkman Range!!
Only the NWZ-E470 Series so far. The new model with noise cancelling, the NWZ-E574 & new F Series are not yet released. F series at least plays FLAC is surposed to have on board GPS, but at only 16gb it's too small & it's 24hr battery life is no better than the A860 series. I'm not going to...- maporter

Pictures Of Your Portable Rig (part XV)
Oh boy, I know what you mean, that FiiO LOD isn't exactly flexible & I too have the same concern. Ideally I'd like a custom made LOD with a side exiting cable, terminating at a 90 deg 3.5mm jack. But I'm unable to find such a beast! Meanwhile I'm just handling the whole thing with caution!- maporter

Name & Shame the eBay sellers of fake IEM's, Headphones & Earphones.
P.S. Grey importers leaving customers with warranty issues is another one I could rant about. Let's just say that companies name starts with the letters "iHe" The point is that this thread "MAY" deprive these sellers of making further sales of FAKE products & save the more guilable amongst us...- maporter

Name & Shame the eBay sellers of fake IEM's, Headphones & Earphones.
What's point? I could say that about of 60% of what's said on Head-Fi ? The point is that I would like to know how wide the problem is, yes I accept the list would be long. The quality of fakes has increased, year upon year, we've not only seen the obvious Sony's being faked, but higher...- maporter

Name & Shame the eBay sellers of fake IEM's, Headphones & Earphones.
Jesus, I doubt there's a genuine amongst the whole of his listings, I mean Audio-Technica ATH-CM5 for $7.99, yeah right! What really annoys me is that despite you can report sellers of fake items to eBay, they (meaning eBay) do absolutely sweet FA to prevent the sellers getting away with it.- maporter

Name & Shame the eBay sellers of fake IEM's, Headphones & Earphones.
Hi All, Okay the premise of thread is simple, to name & shame those who knowing list & sell fake headphones etc on eBay or anywhere else for that matter. I'm sure you've heard the expression, ‘If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is'. Bear this in mind when you find that...- maporter

My Thoughts Of the New Sony Walkman A865
I'm using a pair of 32 ohm Cans along with my EU capped A Series & no it's not fine, the volume has to be cranked up to 27/30 without an amp. They are really weak sounding unless I use my FiiO E11. Where as the standard EX300's are too loud at anything above 17/30 (Un-amped) For that reason...- maporter

My Thoughts Of the New Sony Walkman A865
Hi Tinie, The stock headphones are not that bad, but do need to be burnt in, I found they became less harsh over time. There's a massive IEM review thread to be found here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/478568/multi-iem-review-239-iems-compared-alclair-reference-added-05-24-12 As for a decent set...- maporter

Review! Fischer Audio's FA-004
Hi Skafle, They come with three differing pads, one white pleather (low profile, non perforated), one brown velour of medium depth (best IMO) & one set of brown pleather (deepest depth of all three, perforated). All the pads I reckon would cover the biggest of ears, the only one that allows...- maporter

My Thoughts Of the New Sony Walkman A865
Hi, I've not really delved into things fully but I can confirm that it's cached to the device, using the free trial allows you sample music by genres, such as alternative, rock, metal etc. It them caches samples by chosen genres to the device. You don't get to chose artists, but you're able to...- maporter
