Changing the cable on the original Trinity Delta (or retwisting the cable)
Hi, i own a pair of the original Trinity Delta and still enjoy them a lot, however some time ago i put them carelessly into the same pocket as my keys and the cable for the right ear piece got stuck on the keys. After i untangled everything the twisted (or is it braided?) cable got kind of...- blubbblubb

Europe Deals Thread
The HD6XX (clone of the HD650) were briefly avaliable for 200$ on mass drop (20-30$ shipping for Europeans if I recall correctly) and they are supposed to be available again, just something to keep in mind if you want either the HD600 or HD650.- blubbblubb

Pictures of Your *Budget-Fi* Portable Rig (< $200)
Yep not really portable without some sort of battery pack but since you would require WiFi taking a phone charger with you is not a deal breaker. If you can throw in a HiFiBerry (they also have an amp or something for digital outputs) or something similar, if all combined it is a great little...- blubbblubb

Pictures of Your *Budget-Fi* Portable Rig (< $200)
No I agree with you, maybe my post wasn't clear, English is not my native language so there may be a difference in what I mean and what I write. The point is a 30gb 5th gen ipod for 60$ is neither a gift nor a "killer price", it is not difficult for pretty much anyone to buy it at that price...- blubbblubb

Pictures of Your *Budget-Fi* Portable Rig (< $200)
Well you can't buy a ipod 5g new anymore and 60$ is more than reasonable, got a few myself for around 40$,you just need to look on ebay for a few weeks, I don't think it makes much sense to argue with the retail price when it first came out. The average price you would pay today makes more...- blubbblubb

where to get 3,5mm Jack plug
Hi, today i kind of destroyed the jack plug on my iem's So naturally my first thought (ok the second, the first one contained some bad language) was to get a replacement jack and get down to soldering. I looked around a bit and read a lot about cheap ones that break really fast. ...- blubbblubb

Fiio X3/X5 vs. Ipod 5.5G + Fiio e12
Can't say I rockboxed my ipod the day I got it, I don't like apples way to store the files and the need for special software (plus I'm running Linux on my computer/notebook)- blubbblubb

Fiio X3/X5 vs. Ipod 5.5G + Fiio e12
I do think that the e12 does make a big difference to the right ears, just not to my ears ;). A while back I also made a blind comparison between 320kbps mp3, flac (CD quality) and some hi-res flac files and I only got about 30% right (so it was more or less random). If you get the chance to...- blubbblubb

might also work in the Budget-Fi thread but I'm too lazy too check the current prices ;), all I know is I got pretty much everything under value at the time I bought it. My trusty setup for about 2 years now: used iPod Video non functioning hard drive ~15$ on ebay 240GB HDD ~60$ on ebay...- blubbblubb

Fiio X3/X5 vs. Ipod 5.5G + Fiio e12
i dont really need more than 16/44 because all my Files are ripped from CD and unless im mistaken audio cd's only come with 16/44 24/96 files are not really widely available, some shops dont even sell 320kbps mp3's (take amazon for example) The main reason i use an iPod Video right now...- blubbblubb
