DV 337 noise in the left channel
I've had my DV337 for almost a month and last night I experienced the same problem. I turned off the amp wanting to go to bed, but then decided to stay up a while longer so I turned it back on. The left channel made this awful crackling sound that made my heart stop for a few seconds. It crossed...- alex1pdx

Asian Food-Fi
I actually mix the red sauce with the dark one on a separate plate (usually the one that came with the sprouts and greens) and then dip the meat in it as I eat the soup. I really like the taste of the broth without any add-ons.- alex1pdx

Ear cleaning procedure for long lasting canalphone seal
I don't see anything wrong with removing excess wax from the ear canal, but using alcohol can create potentially serious adverse effects. One of them would be bacterial resistance. You are killing all the weak bacteria and encouraging the selection of stronger strains that are immune to...- alex1pdx

Darkvoice 337 - A Review
Well, my DV 337 arrived today. When I got home from school there was a missed delivery card in my mail box. There was no way I was going to wait until 5pm to pick up the parcel from the post office, so I started driving around the neighborhood looking for the mail truck. I found it after about...- alex1pdx

best external hard drive for apple macs (1tb)?
I ordered the Western Digital My Book Pro II Edition 1TB Triple Interface Hard Drive from J&R about three weeks ago. They had a sale and I got it for $199. I am using it as a backup drive for my Macbook Pro. So far I really like it. I backed up my internal hard drive through Time Machine without...- alex1pdx

New and Improved Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 v2.0 - Huge Sound in a Tiny Package.
I also continue to like my sper.fi 5s. Their comfort is just leaps and bounds above the pros. I sat in the library all morning listening to the 5s and didn't experience one bit of discomfort. I still have a hard time parting with my super.fi 5 pros.- alex1pdx

Darkvoice 337 - A Review
Thanks everyone for the sensible advice. I will look into some of the less expensive tubes, but I will definitely put the custom cable on hold. I have been using my HD650 right out of the Zero's apm section and I've been enjoying it a lot. I can only imagine how it will sound out of the DV337. I...- alex1pdx

Thanks for the warm welcome. Now I am in anguish over tube replacements. I plagiarized the setup Skylab has in his profile, but I am having difficulty locating those tubes at a reasonable price. It seems that it would cost me well over $100 to purchase these tubes. Do you think that I will be...- alex1pdx

Who here actually carrys a amp with them everywere they go?
I don't use my 2Move while walking or while taking public transportation, but I do take it with me to school and use it in the library. It is just too cumbersome to use it with my iphone while I'm on the move. When I plug in the amp to my laptop, it is totally worth it. Either way, I use my...- alex1pdx

Jan Meier (and Meier Audio), Thank You!
Earlier this year I was researching the 2Move and I came across some of the debates regarding the theft of Dr. Meier's design. I was really impressed with his way of handling things. Best Solution For Modern Orchestral Music?
I'm also glad that you decided on the HD650s. I got mine from J&R as well, just over three weeks ago. For now I am running them through the Zero's internal amp (plan on getting a tube amp later) and I've been really enjoying them. Have fun with the burn-in and stuff.- alex1pdx
