[Review] Superlux HD681 EVO
I think one of the issues is that the original vinyl pads are very stiff and very large. But I will try bending the headband as you suggest and I very much appreciate that advice.- darthman

Velodyne vFree Impressions
Just got mine today. Charged them and am listening wired right now. I usually don't like on-ears but they are pretty comfy. I also think they sound pretty darn good, at least in wired mode. I was expecting overwrought base and recessed mids but I think the bass and mids seem fairly well...- darthman

The Deals DISCUSSION Thread (READ THE FIRST POST!!!)
Not necessarily wrong. But they might turn out to be a great surprise! I ordered a number of vPulse and, honestly, did not expect much. They have become my fave IEMs. Sure, you could claim they are not the most neutral. But they are the most fun of all the (MANY) IEMs I have and have had. I...- darthman

DT-250 for $27.80 ?
Got mine for just under $28. For that change, they are ridiculous. Bass is lacking - these are balanced, accurate phones. Uncomfortable for me as shipped but with HM5 pads just fine. Great build quality. Really, crazy good for $28. If they were at retail around $160 I would be disappointed.- darthman

The Beyerdynamic DT250 Thread
Got mine for roughly $28 on Amazon. Certainly worth that. Bass is pretty light. Comfort questionable. Put the HM5 pads on it and that helps. Super music phones, not so much for movies. But with build, sound and price considered they pretty much rock for music.- darthman

DT-250 for $27.80 ?
After I had a less than satisfactory discussion with one of their CS reps (not unprofessional or rude, just not helpful), another called me and was awesome. Amazon makes occasional mistakes but always finds a way to rectify them to my satisfaction.- darthman

DT-250 for $27.80 ?
Mine was cancelled today as well and I am equally annoyed that it took so long for them to deal with it. I chatted with a customer service rep and it was completely unsatisfactory. Boo for Amazon.- darthman

DT-250 for $27.80 ?
Mine: Estimated arrival date: November 25, 2013 - January 13, 2014. Seems as though they are committed to actually delivering the headphone vs just the earpads.- darthman

Exactly $150 to spend on work headphones.
I recently got these (http://www.jaycar.us/productView.asp?ID=AA2065&form=CAT2&SUBCATID=1015#4) and I think they are pretty terrific for a grand total of $70. Very good isolation, really nice detail, quite comfy. You can find lots of reviews on head-fi of this and other/rebranded versions of...- darthman

Denon DXXXX price - Going up or down?
By contrast, I have a pair of Denon D-2000 that I have used for a total of about 10 minutes. I have listed them on head-fi at least twice and nobody was interested in buying them even with the hard case. And my price was far below $500. Kudos to Magicman74 for getting top price!- darthman

Are the Velodyne VPulse IEMs Worth It?
I have not heard the E10 so I cannot compare that to vPulse. I don't think of the vPulse as dark but I would not certainly not call it bright either. I recently got the Xears XPA2PRO and really like them as well. For my taste both work really well for many types of music. vPulse is the one I...- darthman

Are the Velodyne VPulse IEMs Worth It?
I have a drawer full of IEMs. The vPulse is my favorite by far. Yes, it has really big bass but also does everything else well, in my opinion.- darthman

Xears XWH700PRO and Xears Pure Audio XPA2PRO rocks with Sleek's wireless system
I recently ordered and received Xears Woodynator XWH700PRO and Xears Pure Audio XPA2PRO. The customer service was impeccable and the prices almost unbelievable. I landed at Xears because I wanted an IEM that would work with my Sleek wireless system. The Xears products with detachable cables...- darthman

AKG K167 TIËSTO - Discussion, Impression, Review & Appreciation Thread
I'm dying to try these and the price keeps dropping on Amazon. But the mixed reviews... And I did like what I heard from the UE6000. The MDR1R would be a fun try as well but the price difference between MDR1R & 167/UE6000 is significant. And it's not like I don't already have enough headphones.- darthman
