Sequel to the masterpiece "Baraka". Biggest disappointment of the year for me by far.
The Blu-Ray isn't even worth $25.
What's interesting is that there is an older buddhist themed film also called "Samsara" and it's one of the best movies ever made.
You could watch that instead. Trailer is on Youtube.
Here's a scene from Baraka:
It also has a much better soundtrack than Samsara.
Oh yes.
Can't believe it was over 30 year ago for the original! I saw the 2nd one first when I was a teen and was blown away with it, been a fan ever since.
I just have no luck as of late. This is something about the most horrible piece of crap I ever witnessed. I wasn´t exactly expecting Mozart I seen the prequels and had decent fun with them.
-infinity/10. Zero entertainment value and it was a pure struggle getting through the second half as the stupidity and laziness of it just continued to roll over me .

Really, Death Race 1 and 2 are not that bad. Number one is maybe the best. They seemed to have ran out of ideas and thought an African desert race would be a cool variation on the theme. I still need to see the 1970s version by Roger Corman called Death Race 2000. I hear it's good.
Months after seeing it in a theater, finally the DVD is mine.....
I don't recall (and I'm too lazy to search the thread to find out) what I rated this after seeing it in the theater, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching this tonight.....9/10. And my humble Acer laptop with its factory Realtek HD Audio sound chip with this software bundled with it....
combined with my velour-padded HFI-780s meant I had better sound quality than my local theater had.
The last movie I watched was The Hobbit. I'd say it brought me back to the days of LoTR, definitely! (I have an entire collection of LoTR DVDs) Though I would rate it to be 6.5/10. It just didn't really get to me like the other LoTRs. The plot seemed a big simplistic and long winded. But that's just my humble opinion. Others can differ.
