Search head-fi...there are several reviews for the Paradigm Shift e3m......from what I remember they tend to be somewhat base emphasized.

when I was looking into them the E1 lower model seemed to be the best. As you go up so does the bass, and it might be too much.

there's a couple good reviews, google it up ( Startpage is better )

Did anyone ordered the Philips X1 and said that the arrival estimation is March? Does that mean I still got it or are they just going to cancel it? :O

Only time Amazon cancelled on me was the $23 DT250's. They even honored the $890 HD800. I think as long it's not obscenely underpriced they'll honor it. It does help if they ship right away, as was the case of the HD800. The DT250 got backordered and like in your case, was not ready to ship for months, and it took them a couple week to realize the mistake and cancel it.

Some of us (including me) did receive the $23 (well, actually $27.80) DT-250.  See the thread "DT-250 for $27.80?" (http://www.head-fi.org/t/681890/dt-250-for-27-80) for examples and discussion.  Great headphone, by the way!

I still have not received my free vFree.  I have several pairs of vPulse and love them so I'm hoping...

It depends on your definition of bass-head cans as some peoples view of them may differ.

They're cans with extremely emphasized and colored bass. They're bass head cans. Nothing wrong with that, but don't pretend that they're something they aren't. They aren't neutral or balanced. It's not fair to the people who are trying to figure out if they'll enjoy them. ie. Treble heads will not enjoy them.

For those still waiting, my free vFree just arrived this morning. Yours are probably still slowly making their way to you.

Haven't listened to them yet, but I can't imagine paying anything close to MRSP for these just from build quality alone. Can't complain about free headphones, but I wouldn't spend much for these. Also, what a convoluted button system.

I hope the Velodyne headphone product team is watching this thread.
this is some good objective feedback for them.
free = no complaints.   nonetheless, junk is junk and quality is quality.  There's too much good stuff out there to waste $$$ on junk.
Sounds like they're going to have to up their game or just go back to focusing on other products.

For those who were interested in the T1 from Sonic Sense, I saw this posted by a rep on Slickdeals:

Wow!

Thank you all for the praises. We are a little overwhelmed with the number of order we have received due to this post! We have currently sold out of all of the stock we have of these headphones, but you can still place orders with us to reserve your Beyerdynamic T1s at our member price!

According to Beyerdynamic, we will be able to have these shipped within 3 weeks.

Feel free to call us if you have any questions:

Listening to the vFree, and while they are clearly not audiophile quality, i like them. Good stuff for portable use, especially for free. Definitely not worth the msrp, however. It feels REALLY cheap, the headband is apparently very fragile.
