iFi audio's SilentPower Collection: GND Defender, DC Blocker, Nova, and SupaNova!
@Leto Dal i have both Niagara 1000 and ifi powerstation and to my ears ifi sounds a little cleaner, more detailed and brighter i thought it sounded more sibilant in the beginning but that might have disappeared with burn in time but not sure though. And i haven't compared them lately since i...- bluenight

iFi audio's SilentPower Collection: GND Defender, DC Blocker, Nova, and SupaNova!
I noticed the ifi DC blocker 4A continues 7A max does hamper the dynamics of my Ferrum Oor/Hypsos. Bass doesn't reach as deep and drums don't pound as hard also I think it sound brighter and maybe more sibilant. I do think it can sound cleaner though and more articulate. But i prefer with out...- bluenight

Question. What does the 5N/6N/7N in OCC copper/silver mean? I guess its the purity. Is a higher number better then a lower?- bluenight

Ferrum OOR - headphone amplifier with a soul ?
I often think/assume if your Dac is a balanced internal design and you're amp is like the Oor balanced XLR in/out should sound best at least in theory. I have a really great and expensive RCA Cable though imo and don't own a XLR cable and would think i would need to invest in a similar priced...- bluenight

At least i have heard the output power of a Dac is important. Maybe the Hypsos can give it more faster transient power and cleaner power.- bluenight

I would be interested to see your opinions if you try Wandla without Hypsos. See if it really needs it. I wouldn't be surprised if it does regarding sound quality.- bluenight

Ferrum WANDLA - Impressions Thread
I Removed the Ifi DC blocker and was surprised mine Hypsos where still as quiet so maybe i don't need it in first place. Also It sounds like the ifi dc blocker hamper the dynamics of Ferrum Hypsos/Oor. And makes it brighter, more sibilant and less natural sounding. Bass is deeper and more...- bluenight

Ferrum WANDLA - Impressions Thread
If i have said anything before that my Hypsos still hummed a little after using a ifi Dc blocker. I would like to revise that and say its almost or completely quiet now after further listening and paying attention for it. Just now to. Could maybe be some slight more electric noise/hum when...- bluenight

Yeah i think mine is quiter at night then those busy ours in my apartment, so i have noticed this. I added an ifi Dcblocker that lessened the hum but not completely quiet all the time. On many times now i heard it very quiet where i could not detect a hum at night time. But on some occasions i...- bluenight

My Hypsos have a faint Hum that i am ok with and i think would be in spec. It does get a little louder when i turn it on powering the Oor. I placed an ifi DC blocker in the Hypsos input. I think it lessened the hum a little but its not completely silent. Have you tried reversing the power...- bluenight

More then the Ferrum Oor/Hypsos with Susvaras? I think one of the reasons the Ferrum Oor/Hypsos become so popular was on how it drove the Susvara really well.- bluenight
