iBasso SR2 + Colour Haze. Haven't listened stoner rock in a while. These guys should be more popular IMO. :L3000:

Madeleine Peyroux - nice on a Sunday morning on my mini monitors. Sort of a warmer voiced Billie Holiday with a good but unobtrusive band evoking a pre-war throwback feel...

thence into a slightier more modern vibe - Roxy Music - Best Of (cuts 1 2 4 5 8 10)

Now that I'm fully awake...

The Verlaines - Bird Dog (1987)

A unique LP - Clever angular pop meets baroque classical - but from a Blue Nun (NZ) label stalwart - so there is an edge, and also interesting lyrics and moods. They went mainstream a few years later sadly, with some sporadic good stuff, but not nearly in the class of Bird Dog.

Some Disenchanted Evening - Almost as good as Bird Dog

Working on my Neo 5 review at my partner’s house on the mobile set up. Some incredibly sick IDM.

Grado RS-1x << Woo WA6 (Gen 1: Mullard NOS GZ-34, pair Brimar CV455 KB/FB): IMG_7642.jpegIMG_7643.jpeg[Columbia: released June, 1985.] A utterly fantastic rendition of my favourite Wynton Marsalis album. An absolute must listen. Technique is astonishing, emotion is searing ... across all tempi. This pertains to all the musicians. 🥹
My favorite too. Soulful stuff. I got mine on vinyl sometime in '85. Lots of associated memories.

Now playing album
Charles Lloyd- The Sky will be there tomorrow.

Nice sounding modern jazz album. The AWAS does sound great with jazz imo big fullbodied sound and great timbre.

Audio-Technica AWAS - Ferrum Oor/Hypsos - Hugo2 - DMP-A6
