Bandcamp blurb: "As twelve-string and six-string acoustic guitars weave a cloak of folky serenity, tremolo-picked electric guitars inject black metal mysticism, forging a sound that's as distinctive as it is immersive."
The music is weird and beautiful. A kind of folk black metal but with a clean voice. The acoustic guitar parts are a delight to listen to with headphones.
They are known for making very good recordings, and trying to make Mastering be for the good of the music, not for making as much money as possible by being the loudest. They have been collaborating with Peter Lyngdorf, the owner of Hifiklubben, DALI, Stainway & Lyngdorf, Lyngdorf and so on, for a number of years, showcasing great HIFI system with their well recorded music. I recommend that you, or anyone else, dig through their records, if you are into this kind of music. Mostly guitar, floor bass and a set of drums. Simple, but darn effectiveListening to this album now, really well recorded and I love the bass! Thanks for the recommendation

Can't sleep - a little prog it is! Grow is such an outstanding album.

Atheists and Believers (2019) The Mute Gods - Discovered this when a track off it came up on roon radio, so I investigated further. They are/were a prog supergroup made up of Nick Beggs (Steven Wilson, Steve Hackett, Lifesigns), Roger King (Steve Hackett) and Marco Minnemann (Steven Wilson and The Aristocrats. Beggs takes lead vocals, bass, Chapman stick, keyboards and guitar, King takes keyboards and guitar and Minnemann drums and percussion. Alex Lifeson from Rush pops up on one track with a couple more guests dotted here and there. They have another two albums available on Qobuz so I know what I'll be listening to for a bit, just as well the HD800S are so ridiculously comfortable.

Possibly my favorite album of all time. Which mastering/release are you listening to?iMac > Qobuz > Holo Audio Spring 3 KTE (NOS) > Schiit Freya+ Tube Pre > Ferrum OOR + Hypsos > Hifiman Susvara
The realism of the Susvara with the OOR & Spring 3 is already off the charts but adding a tube-pre takes it to a whole new level. For anyone who's played an instrument, guitar for example and knows what a cranked tube amp and a Strat sounds like in-person - it's easy to differentiate between hearing a really good recording and feeling like you're "in the room."
