    SMSL M8A (ES9028Q2M)

I have a SMSL M8a (ES9028Q2M version) and tried to power it from my Schiit Wyrd which provides linear power supply. Specifically, I used the supplied "USB to DC in" cable and connected the USB output of my Schiit Wyrd to the DC-in port of M8a. There was no USB connection from my computer to...

TEAC HA-P90SD (To be released in Dec, 2014)

I see. So if the HA-P90SD is that good and better then Fiio X7 as mentioned before, it should definitely compare to Mojo!   I 've only listened to Mojo. Has anyone listened to both (Teac & Mojo) to tell us his impressions?

TEAC HA-P90SD (To be released in Dec, 2014)

TRANCE, I 've seen that you also have Aune B1 in your inventory.   How does the amp section of the Teac p90sd compare to B1?

Does it have a line-out port to connect it to active speakers or an integrated amplifier?

    [New] Philips Fidelio X1

After some days of listening, it is very clear what happens with Mojo. Mojo at its full potential has extraordinary sound, fantastic dynamics and timing as you read everywhere on the internet. But to get the best result you must have the right source.   My initial listening was from my...

    [New] Philips Fidelio X1

Yesterday, I 've listened to the Mojo from my Fidelio X1 for about 3-4 hours.   Initially, I was disappointed as I found the sound too rounded, too polite and boring. But after an hour or so, some magical burn-in effect happened (to Mojo or to my ears/brain) and then it sounded normal in that...

    [New] Philips Fidelio X1

You are perfectly understood, thanks! But there is a dark point for me as I am a beginner in DIY:   How do you perform the Y splitting? Is there a special accessory for that or you just solder the cables together and cover them with some kind of insulation tape?   I can see a very nice brown...

    Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆

Mr Rob Watts, I think it would be a good idea to release a module for Chord Mojo which could play audio files fom Wifi using DLNA and support Spotify (through Spotify connect) and maybe other audio streaming services..In other words a Google Chromecast audio in a Mojo module.   I 've read...

    [New] Philips Fidelio X1

Ok you are very clear.   One technical question, off topic. When you make a 3.5mm to RCA cable like the one in the picture, you solder two cables coming from the RCA plugs to a single cable which goes to the 3.5mm plug? Or you twist two cables from the 3.5mm jack and separate them before they...

    [New] Philips Fidelio X1

Safely recommend means recommend without any doubts and I understood from your answer that you are pretty sure about that cable.   My experience with audio cables is that they don't affect much the actual SQ but add some "character" to the sound. For example I 've noticed that thin cables...

    [New] Philips Fidelio X1

CoiL: about the "Van Damme Pro Grade Classic XKE pro-patch" cable, can you safely recommend it not only as a headphone cable for the X1's but as a line-level interconnect too? For example to construct a 3.5mm to RCA cable, in order to connect a DAC to an integrated amplifier. Have you compared...

    [New] Philips Fidelio X1

To make a good headphone cable for the X1, CoiL recommended using "Van Damme Pro Grade Classic XKE Pro-patch Cable", right? My question is if the above cable fits in the Neutrik Rean NYS231BG plugs. I don't have any experience in constructing cables but from the specs I see that the above cable...

    [New] Philips Fidelio X1

I 'm excited with the Mojo too. Saving money and getting the Mojo was my initial plan. It will also serve me as a portable device as you said. If I manage to sell my Fiio E18 and Schiit Wyrd, I will get very close to obtaining Mojo. Thank you for the advice, you were very helpful!

    [New] Philips Fidelio X1

Thank you for the answer! In fact I am still skeptical about getting the Aune T1SE instead of Chord Mojo. The only reason I lean towards the Aune is because I can't afford Mojo at the moment. Also I don't know how much better is Mojo compared to the Aune T1SE (with upgraded tube)...

    [New] Philips Fidelio X1

CoiL: I am thinking of getting an Aune T1SE for my Fidelio X1. Since you have rolled a few tubes, would you recommend the Genalex e88cc gold lion tube? It gets very good reviews in combination with the Aune T1. Also what tube(s) priced under $60 would you recommend?
