microphonics....etymotic ER6 (not 6i) vs HF5 ?
The microphonics on the Er4P are limited to the upper part of the cable. So if shirt clip is used and considering they stick a it out of the ears, there should be almost no microphonics. Not being over the ear is a big reason I like er4p. Over the ear bothers me.- sillz10

I have no idea how Cnet could give them a 10.0 in performance......... kinda sad their headphone reviews are alll over the place when their TV reviews are by one person most of the time and very solid.- sillz10

Er4P recable.
My er4p cable is broken from years of mis-use and daily wear. The earbuds are still fine. Are there any cheap 3rd party cables and/or is there an order form on etys website with cables?- sillz10

How Tough is The Cord on The Ety 4p?
ER4P cord quality is light years ahead of ER6i. I owned both. I do not even want to say what I have done with ER4Ps. But the cord held up amazing. You won't have a problem with the cord unless you are trying to break it.- sillz10

My E4Ps just broke, looking for new IEM
So after almost 1.5-2 years? my E4Ps broke. I treated them like crap. I played basketball in them, ran, dropped them. Finally what broke the right earphone was a freak accident and a pretty hard slam down the the ground on hard cement. Think there is any way to fix them? The right one rattles...- sillz10

Most comfortable under-$175 IEMs?
I like the way ety's fit compared to shures. The flanges take a while to 'break in' but after that I hardly know they are there and they never fall out.- sillz10

Opinions on Shure e2c vs. Etymotic ER-6?
I have E2c (2x), er6i, and er4p. ER4p is more durable than er6i. ER6 has a VERY thin cord. I did use it to workout. E2c has a pretty thick cord. (overall build quality i'd put er4p over e2c though). I dislike the way e2c sounds compared to the Er6i. There is a noticeable difference between...- sillz10

Do I pull the trigger for the ER-4p's?
I got the ER4Ps a while back and the microphonics aren't even an issue for me(i wear the normal style and use shirt clip only because its a heavyish cable). People made it seem like rubbing the cable was going sound like an earthquake.- sillz10
