I was having a similar issue... until I started using the Sedna Earfit Max tips, which besides fitting and sounding great, have a built in filter. Now the iem internals are always clean, no cleaning or worrying necessary...- mark88888

Agreed, I recently picked up the $199 premium cable and am using with the U12t, I think it's great and solved my cable problems. So soft, just a really comfortable and nice cable to use.- mark88888

Nice review and my Miroak II Japan ed. sounds similar. What jumped out at me was your mentioning the lack of muddiness. Yeah, absolutely. When I listen to these iems it always strikes me how well controlled the sound is, from top to bottom. Listening to some high end iems I sometimes feel...- mark88888

What kind of jank is happening on the Quest 3? I don't get sick with the Quest 2, fortunately. But it gets tiring and pre-headachy after an hour. Yeah I assume the much higher quality Q3 lenses could help with that. That said I'm very happy with the Q2, still, and may wait for the Q4.- mark88888

FWIW, I hear you about feeling overwhelmed with VR at about an hour. After I use my Quest 2 for 45 min to an hour, I feel like its time to stop. But that said, you can have a lot of fun in an hour. For example I play a game called Population One a lot. I'll never be able to enjoy a flat...- mark88888

Putting the Iems in a sealed jar with silicagel dries them out well and with no risk. This is what I do and also is recommended by 64 Audio as a viable option.- mark88888

I was heading in that direction with my U12t until I started using these tips, the EarfitMax. Besides a perfect fit, those filters keep the iems very clean inside. https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B0B48P171D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1- mark88888

I don't think I'm saying anything that people here don't know, but just in case... the yen is very weak and has been for a while. So it's a good time for people abroad to pick up anything made in Japan, if they can get it at the prices offered in Japan or close to it. Oh and the fit of the...- mark88888

Thanks for this, very interesting comparison. I haven't tried the LOAK, but your description of the Miroak definitely sounds similar to mine, although I have the Japan Limited edition. I will admit that I tried many iems over several months, including well known names like Volur, IER-Z1R...- mark88888
