As long as you properly amp the O2 in the end, either path works. I agree with Lunatique in that there's a bigger difference in sound signature with a change of headphones than a change of amps, so headphone first and buy/build yourself a BHSE or T2 as you get the funds, as KG suggested. ;)

I don't know if this has already been mentioned, but for reviews, it should be required to list what DAC and amp was used in a headphone review or list DAC and phones used for an amp review... well, you get the idea. There should be a required fill-in space for specific gear, like one space for...

The treble was never harsh to my ears. It's mids are much more prominent. As for an amp, Gilmore Lite or any amp based on the Dynalo design works very well for around the pricing stated. Of course with better amps like the Zana Deux, you'll hear some differences. ;)

Anyone need an imbalanced pair of Lambda Sigs? I recently got a pair of Lambda Sigs, and while they sound great, they have some channel imbalance issues. With a Stax amp, I'm able to compensate the channel imbalance, but because I switch phones so often, it's a bit of a hassle so I'm gonna...

Hmm... That's a tough choice. From what I've heard, I haven't found a best. What I have found is that the high end phones from each company represent different flavors, and it may just depend on what sound signature I feel like listening to. I'm sure a lot of people have found their favorite...

Is it bad for the 'phones or amps if you plug or unplug the 'phones from the amp when it's on?
