Krell KPS-20i - Anyone have any experience?
This player is apparently 'legendary' but now about 8 years old. Does anyone still have one and how does it stack up to modern beasts?- evilcthul

Tube headphone amps with tube rectifier
The Twinhead uses tube rectifiaction. It's another headphone amp to your list but as zzz said, the circuits vary greatly and you can't really compare amps based on this one design feature.- evilcthul

Which would the CD3K's sound better with?
Firstly they do not sound 'horrible' out of Headroom gear. It is more a case of maybe they don't sound their best? Someone please correct me because I don't own the CD3Ks. When people say 'horrible' it's a relative horrible. Normally, horrible applies because it is relative to another amp. For...- evilcthul

Da Bomb
Interconnect suggestions? Try go for Cardas or if you feel adventurous try DIY fro DIYHFS. For the power conditioning I suggest the international version of the PS Audio Plant.- evilcthul

Nik's New Angstrom Research Amp (warning: pics)
Nik, Congratulations on your great machine. You know you've finally found 'it' when you can sit down and enjoy the music and not think geese the bass on these headphones are lacking or I wish there was a little more treble extension... Nik we envy you!- evilcthul

For my *final* amp, how important is a stepped attenuator?
True, but it's easier to put together in kit form and looks reasonably good etc... If you're crazy I think there are also Silver Rock silver wire TVCs but the price on those is exciting to say the least.- evilcthul

For my *final* amp, how important is a stepped attenuator?
If you're going to spend that much and don't mind stepped volume controls, why not get a Transformer Volume Control?- evilcthul

PDA suggestions please!
FWIW, I personally hate PPCs, I don't know about you but they seem to end up being glorified gameboys or digicams because of the stylus based data entry which is atrocious for anything except a bit of quick PIM entry or a very brief reply to an email. Those thumb keyboards as far as I'm...- evilcthul

ASLTwin Head Help.
Nightfall, Point taken though my experiences with ASL have been fine. My two MG Heads were in good condition so I guess it's a bit of a case of hit and miss. Having said that, if you purchase through someone like Upscale Audio and make an agreement that you can exchange on defective then...- evilcthul

Should high end PC's be plugged into the wall or a power conditioner?
Your PC's switchmode power supply inherently introduces quite a lot of noise into the PC already. Woops sorry I thought PC meant personal computer not power cord -
The Manley 300B problem
That's Eva Anne Manley though isn't it? Manley is just a last name... In Sydney, there is a suburb called Manly but I digress. Good work to both of you and Nik for solving the problem. It's great to see the industry addressing end user problems no matter how big or small. Now if only I could...- evilcthul
