Just ordered the Twinhead MK II to drive my R10s. Also got a pair of RCA single plate Cunninghams (thanks ZeAnt!). Can't wait to hear (Joe says the amp will be ready in two weeks)... the anticipation....

Am loving the SACD collection I'm slowly building up. Have the SA963 in the office and Pioneer SACD/DVD-A (in the US, its the Elite) at home. Rigged my home theater system up to take advantage of Surround and its been awesome! Have my kids dancing to Olatunji's Drums of Passion in surround in the morning on weekends (bought some bongos and a tamborine so we play along...).

Can anyone recommend a good power conditioner or good interconnect to go with the SACD/Twinhead/Sony R10?

Hey mcgino! Nice to see you around. Enjoy your awesome setup. Don't forget your HP-1s - IMHO they sound better than your R10s. A good line conditioner is the PS Audio P300. You could connect both your source and the Twinhead to it. Makes a huge difference in my system.

Other choices for the 2A3 tubes are the TJ Meshplates.

DIY HiFi Supply in Hong Kong

A lot of people say the TJ 300B Meshplates sound better than the Western Electric tubes. I have a quad in my Manley monoblocks. Haven't had much chance to compare, but they sound pretty good to me.

has anybody heard the r10 with the twinhead? i recall hearing that the hp-1 didn't sound so hot with it and i know that at least in my experience, asl stuff doesn't seem to work well at all with low-impedance headphones.

not sure about this though.

The new MG Head OTL32 and all versions of the Twin Head are designed to drive both low and high-Z phones.

But hey, my etys worked damn well with the plain old MG Head...

Interconnect suggestions? Try go for Cardas or if you feel adventurous try DIY fro DIYHFS.

For the power conditioning I suggest the international version of the PS Audio Plant.
