Bowers & Wilkins PI7
When I was unable to sync the left and right earbuds from the same set (see a few pages back), there did not seem to be any way to flash/reprogram them to re-sync once the connection between the two was broken, so I doubt there is any workaround for using a left and a right from different sets...- Dekimasu

Bowers & Wilkins PI7
Unfortunately, the PI7s never started working again. I was able to reproduce the same problem with listings for each piece from my desktop's PC menu. I think it it still clear there's a problem even though the page isn't in English. The bottom "Bowers & Wil" is the second earbud. It sometimes...- Dekimasu

Bowers & Wilkins PI7
Thanks for the reply. This is with both out of the case. It doesn't always show up that way, but often does. Since the (i) button is the way to get to the screen where you can disconnect or forget the device, the only way to disconnect the second instance is by turning off Bluetooth completely...- Dekimasu

Bowers & Wilkins PI7
I have had these for about 10 days now, and I love the sound, especially when using aptX HD over the BT-W3. Unfortunately, the earphones are also driving me crazy. A few days ago I experienced something strange during my commute where the connection to my iPhone would drop and return about...- Dekimasu

Bowers & Wilkins P7 - over the ear headphones
I think the isolation from being over-ears will keep me happier with the P7, but to get the P5 portability with anything like P7 sound quality... wow.- Dekimasu

Ortofon e-Q5 Impressions Thread
Thinking about changing tips on my Ortofons. I know the Sony EP-EX10M used to fit. What are the current equivalent of the Sony EP-EX10M hybrids that would fit on the e-Q5? Is it just EP-EX11M? Would the EP-EXN50M fit too? Thanks.- Dekimasu

Bowers & Wilkins P7 - over the ear headphones
I'm almost certain to pick up the P7 later this month, but I'm looking forward to what people on this thread think of the relationship between the P7 and the new P5 Series 2 update! (http://www.bowers-wilkins.com/Headphones/Headphones/Headphones/P5-Series-2.html) For my own part I expected...- Dekimasu

Ortofon e-Q5 Impressions Thread
I am certainly not an expert when it comes to IEMs, but the sounds of the Etymotics and the Ortofons are sufficiently distinct that I'm surprised to see an implication that their markets overlap. I thought it was a given that the Ortofons are warmer than the Etys. Some people like warmer...- Dekimasu

Ortofon e-Q5 Impressions Thread
I have been noticing an improvement in the bass lately... but I suppose it is probably my ears finally getting used to these, and not actual burn-in.- Dekimasu

Ortofon e-Q5 Impressions Thread
Quote: Quote: Just as far as the housing goes: I don't think I was one of the people who claimed that the e-Q5s were smaller. However, I found it difficult to get a seal wearing the e-Q7s down because of their V shape, and it's not a problem at all for me with the straight e-Q5s. I...- Dekimasu

Review by 'Dekimasu' on item 'Ortofon e-Q5'
This "moving armature" descendant of the Ortofon e-Q7 makes no sacrifices in terms of quality, despite being introduced at a more affordable price point. The introduction of a new cord and strain relief system help tame microphonics and make the model easy to wear both down and over the ear. The...- Dekimasu

GRADO GR10: Reviews, First Impressions Thread
Quote: I found the Final Audios (A1 and SB) to be quite different from the Ortofons and Grados, but the Ortofons and Grados were similar enough that I'd agree with that. If I already had the GR8 or e-Q7 I probably wouldn't have gotten the e-Q5.- Dekimasu

Free Final Audio Design Earbuds With Purchase?
I've heard that they are different, soundwise, from the Piano Forte II. Not having listened to them, I'm not sure what the specific differences are, although the magazine+Piano Forte is 2000 yen and the Piano Forte II are generally going for around 3000 yen.- Dekimasu
