HD280 Headband Finally Broke (5yrs!)
I don't mean the plastic is cracking, that happened a year in, and a year later, I finally cut all of that cracking plastic off. Has anybody done this? (balanced phones)
i don't see the appeal if you have headphones worthy of a balanced set up, why would you be using an off the shelf TRS splitter? since you are making the adapter yourself (you are recabling the headphones, so it's not much stretch), you might as well just do the normal XLR hook up or a dual mono...- ChickenScrtchBoy

why most stock headphone cable are 3 leads instead of 4? that's a lot of difference!!

probably because these people will recable it anyway, because the manufacture cable will be "unsatisfactory" i mean even some entry level brand name per foot cable for ICs and recables like starquad would increase the cost of the headphones like $30 after mark-up- ChickenScrtchBoy
