grado sr60:do you prefer the comfies or the bowls?

You better like a bright sound if you're thinking of having an unobstructed driver on the SR60. I took my pads off just to listen briefly once, and it was overwhelming. Far to fatiguing. I do love my SR60s so, though. I finally have a job where I can listen to headphones, and after about...

    UE Super.fi Pro 5 ... wow!

i just got super.fi 5 pros today, and I'm going to disagree and say that I think they do improve by amping. Bass definitely had more impact with both my pa2v2 and my govibe. obviously things warmed up with the pa2v2, but I think I was leaning toward the govibe.

    mdr-ex51/71 replacement tips?

Any idea where to get replacement tips? One of mine has torn somewhat. It hasn't been a huge issue as they're my running phones, and don't get much use, but I figured I'd ask. I know Sony sells them direct, but I might as well just by a whole new pair for the prices they want.

    The Sennheiser HD580 Impressions Thread

What are people getting for these used these days? I'm interested in getting a better glimpse of the Senn sound, and this seems to be the way to go. Sadly, I'm still on the SR-60 for the Grado cans, and I love them and have considered picking up some SR-225s, but in my day to day listening at...

so are these even worth the $300+ people are paying for them? Seems to me you could get better for just a bit more at that point.

    Grossed Out By Used Phones?

My father, whose business was once located in New Jersey while he maintained residence in Missouri. Because he had to be in New Jersey for at least 1/3 of the year, he ended up getting an apartment as it was cheaper then a hotel. For it, he purchased a virtually unused, but still used, mattress...

Turntable Wall Mount Tips for Thorens TD160

I do both, so footfalls are a bit of an issue. One reason is that I have two dogs. So even if I'm seated, they might not be. The screach as they run through the room while I play my Mastodon picture disk is enough to send me in vicious pursuit.

Turntable Wall Mount Tips for Thorens TD160

Anybody have any tips on wall mounting my turntable? After a year of not having a TT as the belt broke on the old one, and it really wasn't worth fixing, I found a Thorens TD 160 at a local vintage audio shop beautifully looked over and set up. Anyway...I had to have it, even with my...
