well comfies with a hole make the sound clearer,more detail,better soundstage.though a tip for better soundtage.try bending the headband til its very light on your ears.you will notice an improved soundstage.

You better like a bright sound if you're thinking of having an unobstructed driver on the SR60.

I took my pads off just to listen briefly once, and it was overwhelming. Far to fatiguing.

I do love my SR60s so, though. I finally have a job where I can listen to headphones, and after about two months of ksc75, portapro, and px100 listening, I finally decided to just take the SR60s to work with me. The fatigue I would experience after a full day of listening with these other phones is now gone, and I'm thinking it might be time for a grado upgrade.

Since my SR60 is my portable, I use comfies with holes cut in them. I find I need a bassier sound that doesn't get lost as easily in public areas, and I definitely don't want to crank the volume up to get it and destroy my ears.

That is one of the fun and beutiful things about Grados, you can change the sound in so many different ways by swapping pads!
