    JVC FX33 Mod.

I got my FX33 today; removed the paper filter right away with a toothpick and put in some foam cut up from a sponge. After some fine-tuning, the sound is definitely better than stock, but due to the characteristic of the phones, they still sound flat to my liking. Awesome mod though, I can't...

Audio Technica CM700ti shipping to Canada?

Hello, I'm quite new here so hopefully I've posted in the correct thread. I want to get a pair of Audio Technica CM700ti, but since I live in Vancouver there are no retail stores that carry them. I would like to get the earphones online; do you folks know any online stores with good reputation...

Help from "cool" members of the forum, can for a 16 year old

Here in Toronto most people I see on campus have full-size headphones. I guess it depends on which university you're at. But some of my classmates do say my headphones look cool.

How about the Technics DH1200? They're better quality than the Sony V700, and sounds better too IMO. The bass can be quite strong if you use the Bass Booster setting on the iPod. And oh yeah, they look cool too!!

    Newbie needs advice!!

Personally I don't think you need anything high end; it seems you will use your headphones for casual activities. Someone has suggested to me that the AKG K26P are quite good. However they look quite fragile, and might not handle any abuse quite well. I personally use DJ headphones because they...

BEST COMOFORTABLE HEADPHONE FOR: VOCALS CHILL OUT LITE ROCK POP BLUES AND ACOUSTICS

I use the Technics DH1200 as my everyday headphone. It's rugged (I toss it in my school bag when I go to class, so it's gotta be study). The sound is quite well-balanced, and the iPod nano drives it quite well. But the downside is it's a bit heavy.

    Yamaha RXV1050 Amp

I've found out that the phones output on my Yamaha amp is about 150mV/100ohms. My Technics headphones have an impedance of 50ohms, with a 3500mV handling capacity. With the amp drive the headphones better than the iPod Nano, hence better sound? Will my amp be able to drive Grado RS1 as well?

    Sony MDR-EX90 - disappointed with no-extension cord!

How's the sound of the EX90? I just bust up my $10 Sony headphones today, and I need to get a set of good earphones. Is it worth spending $100 on EX90's, I should get something else?

    Yamaha RXV1050 Amp

Hello, I'm a complete noob with music, headphones, and amplifiers, so please bear with me. My dad just gave me a very old Yamaha RXV1050 amp; it's in practically-new condition, and I know that it's a pretty good work listening to music and stuff. However, is the amp strong enough to drive...
