Sorry if i hijack the thread, but is a dac that nessecary? I have a Samsung S3 mp3 player and a ipod touch. Wouldn't it be fine if I connect either one of those to my amplifier than headphones without a dac?

Well, I was planning on getting some JVC RX900's because I wanted to mod them. After that I was planning on getting some Shure SRH840, or sennhesier hd600 or hd595 or so. But I tend to change my mind quite easily, I'm mostly looking for a universal site that supplies a variety of headphones.
