Lenny Breau is arguably one of the most, if not the most, deserving of the unfortunate title of "greatest, most neglected musician." Sorry, off topic, I know. But when someone mentions Lenny Breau, I feel this need to wax poetic...

If you read the thread in its entirety, you'd find several phone numbers and links to retailers who have these for under $130.

There's a number on the page previous to this.

Just saying.

Well of course it does take quite a bit of time to search through 72 pages.

Though, after reading through a few of the pages I saw that RMC is a popular decision. But it seems to have to negotiate to reach the best price. Any tips on that?

There was no negotiation with Northern Light and Sound...I called, said "how much are the Shure SRH840s?" they replied with "$117" and I said "I'll take them."

I believe to do RMC you have to go through their web "make an offer" page to make an actual offer, and I don't know if they're still doing the $129 price or not.

You don't have to make an offer to RMC Audio. You can just use their "Request a Quote" page and have them send you their best offer. At $117 + s/h vs. RMC's $129, Northern Light and Sound is offering the better price right now, though.

Sorry to keep bothering you, but when I visited Northen Light and Sound the website is a mess. I can't even find the SRH840's there.

Edit: Also, my address is located in Canada BC, if it affects shipping.

They do not sell the Shures online. You'll have to call them. They sell quite a large library of products whose manufacturers have requested not be sold online at low prices.

No problem. Good luck. For anyone else reading, you can reach NLS at (412) 331 - 1000. At the operator, ask to speak to a sales rep.

Raged hard today and used cable ties to keep it at the same height adjustment level. I've put them on my desk when not using them and every single time I pick them up, they have gone back to 0 or 1.

From what I can tell, he shortened the original coiled cable (cutting it just before the coil) and re-terminated it with a new plug. That's certainly not long enough for my uses, but whatever works for him...
