Oh, and PS, the pleather ones that I've got are the old pleather pads which you can get here: http://www.mp4nation.net/brainwavz-hm5-spare-earpad-1-pair
The reason I like them better is because the pleather is a softer protein lining and a softer foam, the new ones have a harder memory foam and more durable pleather material, which I personally did like.

Finally, I'm able to post some picks of all four headphones and give further details.....I'm talking about Takstar Pro80, Takstar HI2050, ISK HP2011, and ISK HF2010.

I was doing a quick analysis with several friends for the past few days and here is our results on the sound signatures and different tunings with all four headphones.

And here goes the overall picks we decided for......

1. ISK HP2011:  VERY transparent! Details from one end to the other are incredible on these with the widest soundstage and everyone of us agreed to be the most favored for overall best sound! No need to mod!

2. ISK HF2010:  They are a close second with a very nice bass response followed by a great presentation on the vocals and crystal clear treble with excellent soundstage. No need to mod!

3. Takstar Pro80:  All of us agreed that the soundstage are a tad better than the HI2050 and has a bold and rich sound to them, which is due to the modding I did with them.

4. Takstar HI2050:  These are still good for there price, but soundstage does fall just behind the Pro80's and can get a little grainy with fast-paced music, as we all agreed after further evaluation. But, overall vocals and details are good.

Here are some picks with the ISK HP2011 next to the Takstar Pro80's.....

Now, here are some picks with the ISK HF2010 next to the Takstar HI2050's.....

Finally, here are all four headphones together in sequence: HF2010, HI2050, HP2011, and Pro80.

To conclude, everyone hears differently and might be looking for a certain signature that either calls for more bass, more vocals, or even more details on top. My friends and I took over three hours of testing and finallizing our results for the best interest and help we can offer everyone here on head-fi.

Hope this helps!

Looks like the ISK's have a much denser foam material covering the driver, that might actually be why they sound different. I'd be curious to see if there is any difference inside the cup, if you're willing to open them up and have a look of course.

Wow, China copy at it's finest. Looks like the same car with different paint jobs, and apparently some small engine tweaks.

Will probably buy from amazon UK since the price is good and shipping will take just a few days. It seems they don't have the hybrid version. Now, just have to decide what color goes best with the shiny black of the Pro 80's...

Don't worry. Kingston copies these as well, and they're a US company! Oh and Takstar is a Chinese company.

About the foam material.....
Actually, they all carry a thin-like material (not foam) in front of all of them , even though one might look darker than the other.

About the drivers.....
So, I went as far as taking the vinyl/foam ear covers off and definitely they are different drivers; Pro80 53mm VS HP2011 50mm. Their sound signatures are different, as well. The HF2010's, in the other hand, has a 53mm driver and sounds much closer to the HP2011's.

53mm driver:  Takstar Pro80, Takstar HI2050, ISK HF2010

50mm driver:  ISK HP2011

Sorry, no picks!......this was just a quick look, didn't have my camera at the time.

Where I can find the Takstar or ISK for the best price + international shipping?

I'm really intrigued by these ISK ones, but I'm trying to not pull the trigger, since I've already got the Soundmagic HP150, and as good as these phones might be, I have a hard time believing that they'll beat the HP150.

However, I might do the mod with the extra port in the outer shell, just for fun. As someone said - if it doesn't give the desired result, it's easy to just close again :)

I'm probably giving the Pro80 to my girlfriend anyway, since she likes them and I've upgraded to the HP150. She needs some kind of mic though, so I'm thinking about buying a "cell phone headset" style cable with mic and either replacing the stock cable with that, or do a replacable cable mod with a female 3.5mm connector.. I have no idea if that'd work well, but it might be worth a try.. :)

So if I'm looking for a closed pair.
Should I go for the Pro 80 or the hp2011?

Today, I was able to check-out the ISK HD9999......ISK's flagship headphones!

Here goes my quick review......

Immediately, I fell in love with their sound signature, which I concluded as energetic and fun!

Comparison's:

ISK HD9999:

Bass: Hit's deep with plenty of sub-bass in quality and quantity with a nice punch, but falls a little behind to the rest of the music, whether fast-paced or not.

Midrange: Some of the best vocals you can grasp with an ambient feel to them that might just take your breath away.

Treble: Very crisp and clear, but bright and could get a little splashy at high volumes, which tends to roll-off at its' peak.

ISK HP2011:

Bass: Hit's deep when called for. Has that perfect feel of quality and quantity of bass with a fast reaction of bass punch to all sorts of genre.

Midrange: Great transparency with an open and life-like signature that will keep you and get you addicted.

Treble: Incredibly clear with a great sense of detail and clarity that never gets harsh, sibilant, or strident, but constantly keeps you at the edge of reality.

Soundstage: Both headphones create a larger than life soundstage and listening experience that can indulge your senses.

Finally, while the ISK HD9999 are ISK's flagship headphones I found them to be tons of fun at most, but not the best as monitors. In my opinion they tend to lack speed in the bass region, even though they sound deep and intriguing. And though the treble sounds crisp and clear, it tends to sound a little bright at high volumes where it can also get splashy and have the tendency to roll-off at its' peak.

The ISK HP2011, in the other hand, seems to do everything right and correctively as a monitor headphone should to deserve the title of best headphones for monitoring purposes and hi-end recording definition of source.

Okay, so I just did the drill mod on my Pro80. The smallest drill I found was 3mm, which might have been a hair too big. On the other hand, they complement the Soundmagic really well now, a lot more rumble, even if it isn't as detailed, obviously :)

Other fun part with this mod - if you want to A/B, you just have to cover the holes with your fingers to hear the difference..

Edit: I haven't given these as much time since I got the other ones, so I sort of had forgot how good they are, especially for the price :)

So if I'm looking for a closed pair.
Should I go for the Pro 80 or the hp2011?

That depends what you're looking for.......

If you want hi-end definition with great transparency? Go for the ISK HP2011

If you want a great package with aluminum boxed case, soft carry case, and accessories with all around great sound? Go for the Takstar Pro80

If you want crisp, clear, and bright, but fun headphones? Go for the ISK HD9999

All these headphones can be searched and found at Aliexpress shopping website. Good luck!
