However much burnin in you put on them, the K701 will never sound like HD650. They do not have as much bass, and are less involving phones.

Its an upset - but it is not "bizarre" ! Bizarre would be the US team beating the All Blacks (or the French) The South Africans look like the strongest team now. I hope there will be no upset tomorrow - I really want to see France against South Africa in the finals..

Bizarre ? France played well, and has beaten New Zealand before. Now we are going to kick some English ass !!!!

The K701 is nice but sound very flat, whereas the HD650 give you a sound in 3D, you are immersed in the music. The HD650 may sound a bit dark ("veiled" ?) without proper amplification.

I would not get a road bike (drop handles) if you are only going to use it for city commuting and if you are not a serious biker. Straight handle bars are much more convenient for city use. What you should be looking for if you want a simple bike : - straight handlebar - v brakes - no...

Why not try a Woo amp ? I have never heard one, but I also suspect they sound tubey - after all, they have tubes. I had an RSA Raptor, but did not find the sound very "tubey". It did have tubes, but they were not very "prominent"

Thanks. There are a few other models that could drive both the K1000 and other headphones. The Manley Neo-Classic is nice but the price is steep. The Woo Audio 5 has had very good reviews, and the price is more reasonable.

I have not seen too much feedback on the performance of Woo 5 using the 1/4" jack. I would be interested to know how it performs with various headphones - HD650, AKG K701, AKG K340.

I was thinking of other phones : HD650, K701...
