Help me leave the early 2000's!
Since the early 2000’s, I’ve enjoyed my Senn. 580’s, ASL MG-head mk III, and Sony NS500V SACD player. Now that I’m working from home and will be doing so at least part time for years to come, I’m getting a lot more than occasional evening use. I’ve been a Mac user for many years, including...- MikeM

to ipod or not?...
Only rumors so far officially, but I've heard that Sirius and Apple have been talking to each other. I would expect that if a Sirius solution for iPods did come out, there would be an add-on for the millions of existing iPod owners. So, I vote iPod too.- MikeM

Any opinion on the sound yet? I just saw the amp on eBay and then tracked down this thread. I'm certainly not excited about their choice of packaging methods.- MikeM

iPod mini announced
I'm certainly disappointed. A $150 2-4 gb player with 10hours of battery would destroy the flash player market. Even if Apple wasn't much on each unit, they would carve such a huge market share lead it would be worth it. A $250 4gb player with "8 hours if you play it straight through...- MikeM

Rant on iPod : nagging flaws that would be easy to fix! Bad Apple!
Quote: Originally posted by GSTom1 If you put a stop at the end of the “Z’s,” so you won’t overshoot, shouldn’t there be some sort of stop after each letter then? What’s to say that you won’t shoot past the “C’s” or the “L’s” when you are scrolling? I overshoot a lot, which is...- MikeM

Quote: Originally posted by austonia Man, I don't get this. You could get to Z even more easily by just scrolling "up" from the start of the list, If the list actually looped A to Z. wouldn't that be even better than maddly scrolling all the way down to Z??? I don't get the logic here...- MikeM

Rant on iPod : nagging flaws that would be easy to fix! Bad Apple!
As far as the scrolling issue goes: I agree with those people who like that it stops. If I'm looking for something in the R's, I'll just give it a really quick roation or two and then work up more slowly. I use my iPod in the car a lot and being able to quickly get to Z and work up keeps...- MikeM

Worst Rock & Roll Singer, Guitarist, Drummer, Bass Player?
Worst Bassist- Dusty Hill of ZZ Top. One riff used in every song, just change the notes to the guitar. Also, the female bassist from White Zombie. In one song she played the same 4 note measure for the entire song!
