i own both and in fact bought the PL50 on mark2410's recommendation on a review he wrote about them a while back.   the HF5 is smooth in comparison to the PL50's harsh, twangy and grating midrange.

hey all.   i was wondering if somebody could tell me if any remolding specialist they know of could remold my TF10 and change the crossover to a custom 3 way? as it stands im not particularly happy with the sig of the TF10 and the fit is obviously questionable...   cheers, marty ;)

hi all, thought id chime in.   just received my HF5 from a fellow headfier, antonyfirst, who incidentally is a pleasure to deal with.   my experience with headphones and iem is limited to... HP: sennHD25ii, sonyMDRV7506. IEM: sennCX300, meelecM6, im716-depodded and soundmagicPL50.  ...

personally im unimpressed by the inconsistencies in driver placement within the mould itself.   check out the picture on page 8 , post 114.   low range drivers are obviously askew.   i realise they can not be perfectly symmetrical, athough some degree of tolerances could be adhered...

derek, thanks for clarifying the scores of the cx-300. as i mentioned earlier, i have no experience with "high-end" IEMs amped and such, and even full cans for that matter, hd595 being the best ive owned at one stage, which werent particularly better than my mdr-v7506 so i gave to a freind...
