Yes, this cable tones the highs a little down (as I like it) so for me a great upgrade compared the stock cable! My Alpha Dogs sounds smooth now

Hi Lohb,   All I can say is that for me the Bakoon provided me with a much clearer sound stage, more separation between instruments, better mids and trebble in comparison with my Mjolnir (have not done any other comparisons)  I have no clue about the technicalities of the current domain, etc...

I'm the proud owner of a pair of Alpha Dogs since yesterday. I love what these headphones do for my music. I use them on my Bakoon HPA-01 and I'm very happy with the results sofar. After I order some other cables I will be able to try them on my Mjolnir/Gungnir.

Great cable, I got them for my Hifiman HE-400 because the stock Hifiman cable was too long, but IMHO the LCD-X deserves a "better" (read: little more up-market) cable.

Thanks Justin!   Good to see you have the same experience with Bakoon. But based on your final comments regarding price I think you are referring to the HPA-21, where I'm talking about the HPA-01 (approx. 1800 euro in Netherlands)  I can't really comment on the Mjolnir with other headphones...

Well..... received my USB gen 2 board today, installed it (went pretty smooth, even the LED's lined up nicely) installed the drivers on my laptop, plugged everything in and then......... nothing, no sound from the Gungnir/Mjolnir   I could see the laptop speakers are using the "Schiit USB Audio...

Looks like here in the Netherlands the complete opposite has happened, there now is a new distributor and the prices of all models have been increased by around 200 euros. XC is now 1999 euro overhere (used to be 1799 euro) Bad move, IMHO

I tried the ALO Green Line and, at least to me, that was no match with my LCD-2s. I tried them on both a Burson HA-160 and the Hifi-man EF-6 amp. It all sound a bit plain and flat, seems like the dynamics were gone.   Can't say what it would do with the other Audezes, but with my LCD-2.2...

Although not on the LCD-XC but on my LCD-2, I'm using an Entreq Konstantin 2012 cable and that works really well IMHO.

mmmm, I got mine initially without USB, so it will be new install for me. Does the board come with installation instructions? Anyway, board should be here next couple of days, see if I can manage to not screw it up 

Hi, I want to add the USB option to my Gungnir. I'm no wizzard with electronics, but I was wondering of this would be an "easy" job I can do my self. Anybody has got any experience doing it themselves? any tricky things I should be watching out for, or is it all straight forward plug and play...

Nope, I found it is either XLR or RCA, not both at the same time. Sorry that was with my Mjolnir!

Thanks for your quick reply! Regarding Mjolnir and Gungnir pairing, I find the DAC of my cd player to be a bit better than the Gungnir (it's a bit more laid back, smoother sounding than the Gungnir) and as I only use Spotify for "streaming" I have no real use for my Gungnir other than Spotify.

Hi, I'm thinking of upgrading my LCD 2.2 to an XC. Reason behind this is that I tend listen to music while my wife is watching TV a lot of the time and we seem to now have engaged in a kind of battle over volume :-) I "bother" her with my music, escaping from my LCD 2's,  while she "bothers" me...

Whats your budget? I'm using a pair of Sonus Faber Guarneri Memento's and they have the same sound qualities (in combination with the rest of my system, of course) to me as my LCD 2.2's
