You're right in that specific scenario. The headphone cables I got were dual male 3.5mm TRS to 3-pin XLR male for a mentor stack once I save up for 2 units. I then had a separate cable made for connecting those cables to any other amp, a dual female 3-pin XLR to 4-pin male XLR.

I think a day after you posted this, I went to test the cables because I now have a compatible pair to use with those cables and one of them isn't producing sound 🤣💔. Not gonna lie, I probably am indeed blowing $3000 for a pair of Mentors after the replacement cable and the Tungstens get here.

Yes exactly. What I'm referring to though is how the Mentor actually gets to that point for mono pairing with another Mentor since one unit uses 2 banks of the same electronics to each power one channel for the 4-pin XLR. I haven't seen Mentor say anything as to how the mono function works.
