Any recommendations for someone who wants a detailed IEM and/or full size headphone in any price range under $100.  Currently, I have an iPhone 4S, Miles Davis Tributes. I really like the Tributes, but I would like a more detailed (clarity and flat response) IEM. 

I'm seeing a lot of E11's so I wanted to ask if anyone knows whether the Miles Davis Tribute has good synergy with the Fiio E11. Thanks.

So a friend gave me a pair of Ultimate Ears TF10's and I bought a pair of Miles Davis Tribute for around $100.  I have an iPod Classic and most of my music is is 320 kbps or ALAC. I was wondering what Fiio amp or any other >$100 amp would have good synergy and work well with the Tributes...

Thanks for the advice guys. I just had one lingering question about amps. In the case I get a good IEM and purchase an amp later down the road, does it matter which one? I read in a Fiio E11 review that it does not do particularly well with bass-heavy IEM's. Is this true for other amps as well...

I agree with ClieOS. My friend and I both had the same IEM's. (Skullcandy Ink'd) He broke them in 7 months at the jack because of the way he stored them while mine are still going strong.   A lot of factors are going to affect the lifespan of a headphone whether it be how well someone stores...

I did this once, but I didn't actually get to use it because I believe there was a time limit :P Can someone confirm this? So make sure you're all set before doing just in case.

So will something like the Fiio E11 not bring out the full potential of the IEM's mentioned above?

I thought the TF10's were more V-shaped than balanced. What does the JDS Labs C421 have over the more affordable Fiio E11? Thanks for the input.
