Noble Cable for Heir CIEM
Forgive me if this has already been covered elsewhere but a search didn't find what I am looking for. My Heir 4.a Magnus 1 cable has developed an intermittent short. The Noble cable appears to be a suitable replacement but want to make sure the pins are compatible. I believe they're somewhat...- JayMitch

If I ever add 8.A's I'm going to use that wood. How intricate can the inlays be? Was thinking that this (in a contrasting wood like above) would be great...- JayMitch

I hear ya (pardon the pun). Definitely a moment of trepidation when first getting them, and that sinking feeling when not right. My remolds shipped a couple of days ago so the anxiety level is even greater. I know the impressions were rock solid this time around. CIEM's are certainly a...- JayMitch

Part of my 4.A fit issue was too deep insertion, moreso on the right. An unpleasant surprise on first use as it smacked against the cartilage at the back of the canal. So I was confused about the "no longer doing musician fit" line as mine could not have gone any deeper.- JayMitch

Is there a place to buy shirt clips for cables? This is an odd and unfortunate omission with the Magnus.- JayMitch

Your favorite guitar solos?
Not going to read through this so as not to skew my thoughts, but there are some that immediately come to mind and in no particular order... Bark at the Moon (Jake E. Lee, literally the solo that made me want to learn how to play guitar) Superstitious (Kee Marcello from Europe - pretty... -
Texas Flood on HD Tracks - Quality?
I got a newsletter update from HD Tracks that SRV's Texas Flood is now available... https://www.hdtracks.com/index.php?file=catalogdetail&valbum_code=HX886443827141 I've read mixed reviews on the quality of their tracks. Has anyone checked this out? -

Black back. To what extent does the IEM contribute? At a minimum it would appear that more sensitive would mean pushing the amp less and not pulling the background with more volume. I was quite surprised with how sensitive the 4.A's were (never seen a published spec). But I would have my iPhone...- JayMitch

In Canada I got tapped for about $85 if I recall. Which is ridiculous, but less than I expected. As ardgedee says none of this is under Heir's control. It's ridiculous import tarifs and taxes and BS imposed by the local government. Quote:- JayMitch

Do you mean the simple stamped logo, or the custom wood inlay? If the latter I find this comment rather surprising as the wood inlay is beautiful and elegant plus further defines the craftsmanship if the IEM.- JayMitch

My 4.A's were returned for fit issues, along with fresh new molds that I hope are bang on. Just as much art as science with these puppies, but I sure do miss 'em. Even with my fit issues (too deep, seal not quite there) the 4.A's were still a great listening experience. I also have Westone...- JayMitch

Go Jets Go... Maybe. So sad that we get them back after 15 years only to have it all get borked after their first season. So much collateral damage to this &%&$^#* lockout. But I digress. Quote:- JayMitch

Sigh... I miss my 4.A's even after a short time with them. Still love the Westone 4R's but the 4.A's were so intimate and rich fit issues aside. Looking forward to getting the remolds back in the new year.- JayMitch

Not an answer, but another question. I was actually surprised to find the Magnus more microphonic than my Westone 4R cable (which I believe is same or at least similar to stock 4.A cable).- JayMitch

I got the Vault with my Westone 4R's - it's just the right size for carrying around, although I never tried with my 4.A's before I sent them back for adjustment. May be a tight fit for the 8.A's. I have a Pelican 1010 case for the 4.A's that is bigger but much smaller than the Heir case (which...- JayMitch
