The headphone amplifier on my ps audio bhk preamp is no joke. I’ve been enjoying it with grado headphones which it has good symmetry with.

I went ahead and purchased it since I was in the market for an in- office balanced headphone for the post-pandemic. It would be great if it came with 4 pin cable or TRRS cable and certainly hope that Sennheiser and Massdrop change their mind on the cable issue.

The RME seems to be firewire only, and their only solution that could work with mine (PCI) is over $1400. The lynx cards would require me to get a desktop just to run as my music server (maybe i should do this). um.... thoughts, is it possible to burn blue ray onto a hard drive...

yea, it's a a little known "secret" that apple and IBM have some of the best audio out circuitry in the laptop industry. usually other laptops are not nearly as good.

i checked that one out, i've posted on it. um... either the one I had wasn't working properly, or it's not actually a good tube for this amp. I hope someone out there has better luck with it than I did.

I've had the super fi 5 pro... I can tell you that it doesn't improve much due to amplification as much as other IEMS, thus i think maybe spending your money on something different would make you most satisfied.

do a search, there are plenty of benchmark vda-2 comparisons. In short, the vda-2 is better.
