I am getting so confused with all the be's from Blox. Which one was the first released? The be7 or be5? I have them both but forgot which one is which. I just know the one released first has better bass but the one released second sounds more balanced to my ears. Thanks.

The 38s are more clear in the mids and especially highs than the anv3. However the anv3 has much much more bass weight. Interesting, I actually rank the 38s buds as quite fast buds. But the again I compare them to the Blox m2c, anv3 and be5, so maybe those are just slow. Although the bass doesn't go very low it is quite puncy.

Mine 38s did not sound great out of the box. I could hear it potential as a fast and dynamic bud but the highs were very wonky, very detached and almost like an ego was present. 6 hours burn in is way to short. It took me more than 50 hours to get rid of most of the sibilance. I do agree that the bass is not as much as let's say the Blox anv3 which goes lower. However it's a faster and punchier bass, which for me makes up for the lack of the bottom octaves of the bass...

To me the tc100 sounds more thicker more balanced and flat than the th38s. The tg38s sounds more dynamic to me, although it sounds thinner than the tc100 it is more fun and engaging to listen too. However that was after ~55 hours burn in for the 38s and 25 hours for the tc100. Still have to...

I will after a proper burn in of both. The tg38s are at ~50 hours now, so will start with the tc100. Can't wait to hear what they will do, out of the box they already sound quite good, have to see how they improve though.

To my ears both play the 20Hz or probably around 23 Hz if the test is a frequency sweep. On the high frequency they both do though 17 kHz and start to roll off at 18 kHz but that could also be my hearing.

I agree that the bass of the tg38s is not overly heavy. And certainly not more than the be5 or the anv3 however the bass is fast and punchy. The treble is still a bit of a problem however very dependent on what track I play. I mainly play 256-320 mp3 from iPod/iPhone.
