Best 1st gen iPhone headphone adapter?
Does anyone on head-fi (or another board) make a custom, or hand-built, adapter? I'd rather buy one of those if available.- DickxLaurent

Best 1st gen iPhone headphone adapter?
Or is there much of a difference? I just got a 1st gen iPhone and thought you guys could help me choose the right one. With so many threads containing "iPhone" and "adapter" I was having trouble swimming through the search results. Thanks!- DickxLaurent

iPod classic HDD noise & vibration - Normal?
The mini has a Microdrive hard disk in it. I guess Microdrives are just really quiet. I should have mentioned that I can clearly hear the drive in the classic when it's sitting on my desk, roughly 2 feet from my head. No need to hold it up to my ear.- DickxLaurent

iPod classic HDD noise & vibration - Normal?
Hey, fellas. I just bought a 160GB classic to replace my 2G mini (seriously). This being said, and apparently having never used a friend's 4G or 5G iPod in a quiet environment, I don't know if the very noticable sounds and vibration caused be my new classic's hard disk are normal. I first...- DickxLaurent

Best vintage Marantz receivers?
I'm looking to get a vintage Marantz receiver. Thus far I've read (in another forum) that any 22xx models are well regarded. Does anyone have anything to add to that, or possibly disagree with that? What are the most recommended, or respected, models for amp quality, all vintage models...- DickxLaurent

Good sub-$100 DAP?
And would there be any reason to get the 2GB Insignia over the 4GB? Is there any difference other than capacity?- DickxLaurent

Good sub-$100 DAP?
Hey. I'm looking to get a decent 1 or 2 GB DAP for a gift, and would like to spend as close to $50 as possible. I'm a little flexible on that, and if something with more memory is possible, that would be nice, but I doubt that's the case in my price range. And I'd choose a higher quality player...- DickxLaurent

Recommended case/pouch for EP-630 & KSC75?
Just got my dad the EP-630 for Christmas, and he wishes he had something to carry and store them in. Any ideas? And I also wish I had something for my KSC75. I know some of you guys must have figured that one out already. Thanks.- DickxLaurent

Most comfortable IEM's for dad?
I had decided on the im616, because I spent so much time deciding on them for myself, and I like mine. But I am kinda worried about him thinking they feel too intrusive, so I'm changing my mind and going with the EP-630. It's also helpful that they are much less expensive, in case he ends up...- DickxLaurent

Most comfortable IEM's for dad?
I think comfort will be a major issue and a deciding factor in whether or not he enjoys using them. I'd have him try my im616's, but I want whatever I get for him to be a surprise. Are there any certain models that are known for being generally more comfortable? I'm looking for something entry...- DickxLaurent

My iM616 came with BI-flanged eartips ??? AND they hurt
Thank you. If I'm going to try some Comply tips, am I safe ordering the standard size, or should I really get the trial pack? I'd say I probably have normal to larger sized ears. I'm 6'1" with proportionate head and ears to match.- DickxLaurent

My iM616 came with BI-flanged eartips ??? AND they hurt
So I just received my iM616's yesterday, and kinda much to my surprise, they came with bi-flanged ear tips, as opposed to the tri-flanged advertised and discussed everywhere. Has anyone else seen this? It even says in the manual and on the box that "3-flanged" tips are included. And is there a...- DickxLaurent

im616 vs. er6i rehash (same cost now)
I see this has been discussed in some previous threads. However, in this thread, I am hoping for some semi-conclusive thoughts from those who are privileged enough to have experience using both models. Bear in mind that both are currently of roughly equal cost on Amazon. Thanks. EDIT...- DickxLaurent

What is the diff between the ER6 and The ER6i? Or look at something else?
How do these different models discussed stack up in terms of isolation? Which is the best, and where is the trade off? And where do the Ultimate Ears and Sennheisers stand in comparison? Thanks.- DickxLaurent

Recommended Turntable, Cartridge & Preamp for $400-500?
A friend of mine is looking for a new analog setup. He's looking to spend $400-500. I think he will want new components if possible, unless maybe some great used deals exist. Please recommend some of the best options. Is the Debut III rated well for its price? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!- DickxLaurent
