    Audeze LCD-2 Closed

A high pain might be stemming from some sort of developing lesion, it might be worth checking that out with your ORL medic!

Then perhaps it's not the material of the pad, but the shape of them in general; or are you suspecting it is the sound per se that is causing the pain?

    Audeze LCD-2 Closed

I gotta say, I was getting increasingly frustrated with my Audeze LCD-2CB's lack of proper isolation, because for some reason these huge closed cans don't isolate that much, I can very much hear my PC's fan running, and a great amount of ambient noises/sounds. So I tried getting a pair of Aeon...

    Audeze LCD-2 Closed

It could be that the pads are putting pressure on your trigeminal nerve; the stock pads on my Audeze LCD2 Closed Backs started peeling off and deforming for some reason, and I had a similar discomfort. I recently upgraded to a pair of AHG sheepskins, and they seem to be doing better, albeit they...

Which cans would people say offer the best closed back passive isolation for around 500 USD? With the least compromise in sound quality ofc So far I've narrowed it down to the Focal Elegias, the DCA Aeon Closeds, and the Beyer DT177X, but if anyone has additional input, feel free to suggest more...

I don't know how import taxes work in other countries, but usually it tends to be a percent of the nominal reported price at the time of shipping. As for the cost itself, it is about 49.5 USD according to a quote i got from the national post office website. But shipping would be split 50/50...

SRH1540's headband is notorious for creating hot spots, what I did back in the day was to purchase a sennheiser hd280 headband cushion, and use it over the shures

Do you have any practical examples of how well the Aeons or Beyers helped you isolate external noise? I'm still kinda on the fence about which pair to get haha.

Keep us posted with how you find the Aeons RT vs the Nightowls; I'm particularly curious, because i have a pair of the latter

Throwing my 2 cents regarding fans: ime, 200 mm fans tend to be a quieter solution in general, I have a case that sports two 200mm fans, one on the front and one on the back of the top, and so far they are substantially stealthier than smaller fans; mainly because the bigger the size, the less...

I read a bit about them, they seem mighty interesting, their cup design does make me believe they would seal around the ear and isolate very well!

Wow, that's excellent info for my ears! I am deeply grateful for the insights you are providing, such comradery is very scarce these days... But yeah, another score for the Elegias! certainly the number one contender at this point. I'm just left wishing someone could maybe provide similar info...

the LSA HP-2 are out of my budget atm, and they might sound great, but I've yet to read how good they are at blocking noise from outside

For me, the soundstage from high end closed backs has been enough, I've been through the, ATH-A900x, Shure SRH1540, the Aeon Flow Closed 1.0, and now the LCD-2C closed, and they offer similar soundstages ime, I'm just looking for something similar, with very substantial isolation, and the...

Anyone have a particular ~500 usd closed back favorite regarding isolation? I've read that my LCD2-C closed should isolate a lot, but for some very strange reason they aren't getting me there, even my old AQ NightOwls isolate better than the Audezes. Reading around in these forums and other...

That sounds very promising, right now I have a pair of closed back Audezes, and the barking is just too loud for these cans, i swear I'm about to commit arson to shut the hell up those dogs for good, I can't sleep at all or be productive during the day
