Thinksound ov21! A Full-Size Listening Experience of the Acclaimed Wood Earphones With Amazing Timbre!

I can’t remember the first day I found or stumbled across the head-fi.org website (maybe the website found me), but I am sure it was easily over a quick decade ago when this audiophile community helped to quench my thirst for audio products that would take my music listening experience to new...

British (audio) Invasion - Rock Jaw American Tour

I would like to thank RockBob for asking me if I could put together a tight group of Americans to sample three of his beautifully packaged and designed Rock Jaw earphones. The items should be on their way to St. Louis now, and in a week or two cn11 will have some impressions. I personally have...

Thinksound Rain2 to pour in ears soon: Impressions and Discussions Thread

Funny how things work out. Thinksound has been one of my favorite small earphone companies since they started putting out products about the time I became a member of the head-fi community. The company actually produced one of the best on-ear headphones I've ever heard, the On1 (which came out...

It's Like UNIVERSAL IEM Deja vu!!! Journey into universal IEMs when I thought I was done...

So what is wrong with me? After I fell in love with the 1964-Q custom quad by 1964 EARS I vowed to find ONE good universal for back and forth travel and never look back at the universal IEM world again. My next move - I told myself - was to find the next logical step in the custom IEM world...

    R.I.P Steve Jobs>> The Podfather!!!

Love or hate his products, he is a significant reason why many of us suffer through this expensive hobby in finding IEMs that complement and bring out the best sound in many of Apple's products. Let's see where the company will go from here?

    1964 EARS V6 Thread

The 1964 EARS V6 is finally in my ears, and it's wonderful. Wider soundstage and more detailed than the Quad to my ears. It's a more balanced sound than the Quad, yet with plenty of bass extension, forward mids and extended highs. Those who thought the highs were a bit recessed in the 1964-Q...

Which IEMs are compatible in sound to my ATH-M50 and Beyer Dt-150?

So, most of you know me here as an IEM type of guy. As a matter of fact, my signature bears out that I own no headphones at all (I did have the D2000 once, but sold it after the mids didn't satisfy me). Since I took my first plunge into in-ear monitors, I haven't looked back except for the the...

Uh-Oh!! is the founder of V-Moda Okay??

Look what a little research (and some connections) can help you find. Draw your own conclusions....       http://www.wehodaily.com/2010/11/17/man-gun-fear-intruder-celeb-party-estate/

The Klipsch Custom 3 is top tier sound...

So, I'm seeking advice from my fellow head-fiers for a change. How does the Custom 3 compare to the SE530 (figure more have heard that one than the SE535), the SM2, the HJE900, the FX700, DDM or any top tier (or near top tier) IEM?   I know it's a dual armature and I know it has severe cable...

    SM3 purchasers, question on price

I've notice on the Earsonics webpage that the SM3 has a price of 288 euros, but when you go to buy it says 345 euros? Did any of you who purchased it notice this too? And if so, which price is it, and when do you  know you're getting the lesser pricer? Just curious. Thanks.

Wondering? For those who have a IE7 or IE8, is it worth it owning both?

Hello fellow Head-fiers. I'm just wondering - as someone who owns and enjoy the IE7 - if there's enough differences in the sound signature of the IE8 to make it worth owning both? Or is the IE8 basically the IE7 with more bass? Of course, I do expect some similar sound with both being...

    Purchased a uDAC..first dac/amplifier..IT'S GREAT!!

There may be something out there better, but I can't believe the clarity of sound that I get out of that little uDAC. And for 100 buck basically. I think my venture into the dac/amp world may just stop here. It does a nice job with the d2000 and ortofon e-q7, but the dac/amp really shines...

    tested fiio e1 with e-q7, ie-7 and d2000...guess what...

Okay, I have to admit that although I'm one of those who believe in the benefits of burn in, I never given much credence to the benefits of a amplifier (no matter how big or small) for earphones and headphones. But on a whim I ordered the new Fiio E1 - thinking if it doesn't work I'm only out of...

Just curious: How does E-Q7 compare to EarSonic and Westones

Was wondering if anyone in this forum have heard the Ortofon E-Q7, EarSonic SM2, and the two Westone three-driver armatures earphones? If so, can you please give me a brief synopsis on how they sound the same or different from each other? Which has the better SQ and why? God knows I don't need...

Just scored my first dynamic IEM. IE7

Well, I took the plunge and purchased the Sennheiser IE7 from Amazon.com. They were on sale for $169. That seems like a good price based on the threads I've been reading all day about them. I purpose chose these over the IE8s (that every dynamic driver phone user seems to be raving about) for...

    ANOTHER GREAT IEM DEAL-- HF2

This is my favorite earphone after the Ortofon E-Q7, if you can deal with eqing for bass. I have the version without the mic. Seems like a great deal. MegaMacs.com - index.php?action=view&pid=304177913
