What song/album gave you your first eargasm.
2112 by Rush. Followed very closely by The Moody blues, this is the moody blues? Anyway, to this day I have a hard time not listening to the entire 2112overture. -

Boombox, without the boom?
This has proven more difficult than I expected. I looked at the JVC model and it is a monster, I have not yet heard it though. About 15 years ago I bought an "audiophile grade" boombox made by panasonic. This thing rocked. It had a remote control (cutting edge then) it was a 2 way four...- marmul

Boombox, without the boom?
I searched the forums and did not find any info on Boombox suggestions. I am in the market for a mid to high level boombox for vacations and other portable applications. Are there any sold that focus on quality sound? I am looking for a unit that will play mp3 discs and has an aux in. Again...- marmul

Chaintech AV-710 original driver needed
Thanks to those who responded. I am not sure exactly what went wrong but this issue has been resolved. I reimaged my PC again, this time I loaded the drivers through the Device Mangler and did mnot use the Envy Setup.exe. This seems to have fixed the issue I was having. No more interference!- marmul

Thanks for the detailed information. Your information is very well documented and easy to follow. I followed the instructions (including loading the older drivers) but this did not fix the issue I am having. I am not sure how to get rid of this noise. Anyone else have any ideas?- marmul

Some good in-canals please?
I vote for the Shure E2c's if a canal phone is what you desire. They are pretty durable and the sound is good. The only thing I am stuggling with is what if a tree branch or something like that catches the wire and yanks the canal phone out of your ear? Can you say POP! Sounds like you are set...- marmul

NAD C320BEE Amp
I second the audition idea. Let your ears do the talking (well you know what I mean). I own the 320BEE and agree that out of the box it is harsh sounding. Given some time it mellows, either that or my ears are accustomed to it now. I also think the price is right for such an amp.- marmul

Audio-Technica ATH-A500 for work?
MrMajestic, new or not you do know what you are talking about. I had a pair of 250-80's that I sold to a fellow headfier. The 250-80's are a great set of sealed phones. I upgraded my home phone therefore upgraded my work phone's which made the 250-80's expendable. The only problem is the 600's...- marmul

Shure E5c's or the Ety ER4's?
The E5c's arrived and they are something else. I really enjoy litening to them. The best thing about them is they are efficient and are easily driven by my ipod (even by my mpio mp3 player). The bad this is that they are efficient and are easily driven by my Ipod! I am gonna go deaf! I...- marmul

Hello headfier's. I am not sure that this is the correct forum but here goes. I wanted to start my MP3 library all over. I want to rip my cd's with the best possible encoder out there. I will be using these files in an Ipod so tagging properly is also very important. I currently use...- marmul

Which Led Zeppelin albums?
May I suggest Page and Plant's No Quarter? A while back they (page and Plant) toured w/ a symphony (forgot which one). They paired up very very well.
