I got mine cheap and used
. The album sequence sounds better to me now, but the boxed set is less predictable, and a shocking treat for a zep intro, IMHO. Plus you get all the radio hits.
So i bought I, II, III, IV, Houses of the Holy, and Physical Graffiti. There are 20 tracks from my roommates old "Box Set" (1992) that are not on my 6 albums at all. Should I just rip his and have these 20 tracks in a special folder, or are there some albums I can buy that have these and maybe a few more good ones? (Avoiding bad albums of course)

They are supposed to be on those albums. That box set is all messed up with it's scrambled order and omissions.

Also IMO the tracks that ACTUALLY are not on the albums you bought are only worthwhile for the Zep fanatic. You can decide if you are a fanatic after listening to all those albums.

Just checking back into this thread. I've Zep'd out these past couple of days, going through the entire box set again (The Complete Studio Recordings). There's not a bad disc in the lot.
I am listening to zeppelin the way it was meant to be heard, on an old turntable with and old receiver, through old speakers while checking out the cool window cutouts on Physical Graffiti.
Proved that despite its huge size the CD3000 can be shoved down one's throat.

[I remember when Physical Graffiti came out it was delayed for months because Zeppelin wasn't originally pleased with an earlier version of the cover art!]
I remember one from Grand Funk, with the pair of glasses included, for 3D.....OTOH I have some CDs with artwork in 3D and with holograms, and some CDs even with videos included in the CD, I do not recall any LP with that, technology/time is all about, even though I agree that those LP artworks are really nice.....

Me to. But new TT & equip.
I found an online store selling the 200 gram vinyl re-issues for $18 USD and got nearly the whole catalogue.
(I'll get In Through The Out Door/Coda later)
But they didn't have the BBC Sessions which I order from another place and have not had time to listen to yet.
Yeah the covers for III & Physical are fantastic & exact. I don't miss bonus tracks or video, it would spoil the purity somehow.
I actually didn't like Dazed and Confused, until one day I just sat down and listened to it and it hit me like a brick. I had to play it ten times in a row to get the my craving for it to subside.
May I suggest Page and Plant's No Quarter? A while back they (page and Plant) toured w/ a symphony (forgot which one). They paired up very very well. One of my all time favorite go to tracks is the last one called Kashmir. The rest of the album is good but that one single track makes the hair on my neck rise up. It rocks.
