Denon D2000 Amp for electronic music

I have a pair of D5000s that I amp with a Head-Direct EF1. I am a trance, house, and breaks junkie and I will say that this is the best combo I have ever heard for EDM. The EF1 is out of your budget, but you should definitely check out the newly released HiFiMAN EF2. It sells for $189 USD...

REVIEW: Head-direct.com HiFiMan EF2 tube Hybrid Amp with USB DAC

Great review HeadphoneAddict. Looks like I may be purchasing a Pico DAC for my EF1 down the road. I did upgrade the tube to a RCA clear top about a week ago by the way. I will say that the RCA tube was a very nice upgrade from the sylvania one. I am very pleased with the RCA clear top. Pico...

HeadPhoneAddict is writing a review on the EF2 and I believe is posting it later this month. I'm really looking forward to this review, especially since I just got an EF1 about a month ago, Grrrr! I do absolutely love my EF1 so it will be interesting to see the differences. I also now wonder...

    Trance/EDM lovers: advice needed!

Denon, Denon, Denon, Denon... I have not personally heard the SA5000's, but I hear nothing but good things about them...but Denon's...seriously, holey christ, they are made for EDM!

    Trance/EDM lovers: advice needed!

I am a trance and house junkie. I mostly listen to DI.fm and 1club.fm myself. I currently use a pair of Denon D5000's and I absolutely love them form EDM. If you don't mind spending a little bit more, then the D5000's will not disappoint. If not, then I recommend either the D2000's or the...

    Inexpensive Metal/Techno Closed Cans?

Coming from a Trance and House Junkie, my vote goes to the Denon D1001's. The price is definitely what you are looking for. If down the road you want to upgrade, then at that point I personally would get either an Ultrasone or a higher end Denon. You really can't go wrong either way. But for...

Safe to buy D2000 from Amazon?

Amazon is a safe and dependable sight. I buy things from there all the time. I actually bought a 46" LCD from there with absolutely no issues. Personally, I think that Amazon is one of the most trusted sites out there.

    Headphone for Drum n Bass

I am a Trance and House junkie, and I absolutely love my Denon D5000s for EDM. The bass is awesome! I too went through a long search for great bass and ended going for Denons. I haven't listen to Ultrasones, but from what understand, those are a very good option too for EDM and good bass. If I...

HD595's not cutting it, D2000 on the way!

Cheers to Denon, I recently got a pair of D5000s and I absolutely love them. The bass is exactly what I was looking for. From what I understand, the D2000s have the same level of nice bass. I personally listen to a lot of Trance and House. I will say that the one greatest thing that I learned...

Suggest me the most bassIEST and punchIEST headphone ever please...

As far as bassy goes, the bassiest and puchiest cans I have expirience with are Denon D5000s. For your budget, I say check out some Denon D1001s. If you can squeeze an extra $50 into the upper end of your budget, then check out the Denon D2000s or Ultrasone HFI780s. You definitely want to go...

    Drum and bass headphones...

For a little more than your stated budget, I would go with the Denon D2000s or the Ultrasone HFI780. They are both worth every cent.

Talk me out of The Beats By Dre.

My vote goes to the Ultrasone HFI780s. Beats by Dre is made by Monster Cable and as you know anything Monster Cable is ridiculously over priced. Buying headphones from Monster Cable would be like buying a car from Microsoft...It doesn't make sense.

    Headphone pc gaming

I use some Sennheiser HD595s for gaming and movies and I'm completely satisfied. Whatever you choose, I recommend that you get an open design. An open soundstage makes a huge difference in how immersed you can get into the game IMO. I have a fabulous pair of Denon D5000s that are absolutely...

Help deciding - first nice set, A/AD700, HD555

As far as for the open and closed option, IMO open cans are way better for gaming. I have a pair of HD595s that I specifically use for gaming and movies. To give you an example, if you play first person shooters, with an open design you will be able hear footsteps or the direction from which a...
